I'm no Raiderfan, and I will. Like him or not, he backs up his teams with his own takes, puts it on the line when called out on it, and sacks up when he loses.

This just seems appropriate right now:

I Love This Board

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We got winners, we got losers
Chain smokers and boozers
And we got yuppies, we got bikers
We got thristy hitchhikers
And the girls next door dress up like movie stars

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

We got cowboys, we got truckers
Broken-hearted fools and suckers
And we got hustlers, we got fighters
Early birds and all-nighters
And the veterans talk about their battle scars

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

[Chorus:]
I love this bar
It's my kind of place
Just walkin' through the front door
Puts a big smile on my face
It ain't too far, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

I've seen short skirts, we got high-techs
Blue-collar boys and rednecks
And we got lovers, lots of lookers
And I've even seen dancing girls and hookers
And we like to drink our beer from a mason jar

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Yes I do

I like my truck (I like my truck)
I like my girlfriend (I like my girlfriend)
I like to take her out to dinner
I like a movie now and then

But I love this bar
It's my kind of place
Just trollin' around the dance floor
Puts a big smile on my face
No cover charge, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

We got divorcees and a big bouncer man
An old jukebox and a real bad band
We got waitresses and we got barflies
A dumb-ass and a wise-guy
If you get too drunk just sleep out in your car

Reason number 672 why

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
Play it on out boys
Beer-thirty's over
Got to take it on home

Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar
I just love it.

As much as things seem to change ....... sometimes they stay the same.

Say what you will, but .......

Paul will always be Paul, no matter what anyone says to him. Keep on doing whatever the hell it is you do brah. Ya may steal some shit online, wtf ever, but you are still a stand up guy.

Scotts crayons will never match the artwork of a 3putt or David Copperfield, but the shit is still fucking funny! RACK!

Lames, prick raiduh fan that he is, can still find more ways to describe sucking cock, and fucking in the ass, than anyone can fathom. I am a simple man, of simple means ....... and will always find that funny.

EXACTLY. (and i will do so)

Wags

let me make this Crystal Clear for you.

i was throwing out a suggestion to Felix....looking for his response as well as others in as to regards to this Thread.

i feel "strong" enough to state that myself or Felix would ask orc' (since its His) if its time to Stick a Forklift in this Thread for Archive. the Pallet is getting pretty Full?

like 'Zilla said...let this fucker go 'til it fizzles like a KC Fireworks Show on the 4th...wait.....the Sparkler Died....????...aaaawwwwww Shiiiiiit!

now, here come the time for ME to come correct.

much like kcscott: i; too, helped Paully out with Posts.

he did NOT C & P mine (well....i don't think he Trolls BROWNSBoard...)....however, if he was in a bind and in the process of being "helped over the Fence" for the 16thousandthTime....i'd give him helpful hints on how to turn things around. also, i TRIED to give him hints on how NOT to get in those situations in the 1st place.

after what...7 years of being here (in some forum)....you get tired of seeing the SAME ACT repeatedly getting cornholed DESERVEDLY--->and you try to help.

MY BAD.

Scott tried on a different level and I tried as well to no avail.

Paul?

i guess that you are your own worse Message Board Enemy. (not Kaley or James; not anyone from inbetween Bronco Knob to JHawk to toostoned.

You.)

Repent or hit the "x".

i Tried to help.....and failed.

Now, for upcoming "pile~on."

i deserve it.

Sheesh, tennis panties in a bunch there?

If you're comparing me to the flotsam from New Orleans, then your judgement is flawed. Last time I looked I was adding to the Houston economy, you know, paying taxes, buying real estate, bringing new businesses to the city, which brings in jobs....etc. You?

Pops, I'd love to go home. Little problem with rebuilding downtown New Orleans that I'm waiting on. Frankly, I might not go back for awhile even then, cuts down on the commute given our biggest projects are in Houston and Austin for the next 3 to 5 years. Maybe you could help convince my boss to let me move to Austin...you could tell him it would help reduce the local crime rate or something. :D

Austin is GREAT town. Only negative is the traffic on I-35, but, its a great place to hang out.

I love the Hill Country. Downtown Fredericksburg is cool. I also like Boerne, Wimberley (nice artisan commty), and other spots.

I'm telling ya, the drive between Kerrville and Bandera is unbelievable. You think you're in the Smokies or Ozarks there for awhile. Great little apple orchard store in little spot called Medina...everything apple all the time. Though apple ice cream is not my cup o tea.

TX is a great state, I've enjoyed my time here both work related and recreationally.

Houston isnt bad. Just too damn spread out...

Yes, yes ... yes.

My wife and I just happened upon that drive and didn't know what we were getting into.
Didn't know what a treat it was gonna be.
WOW !

...continuing the travelogue, I spent another Sunday in the Napa valley. A more beautiful place would be hard to imagine. The recent floods did nothing but enhance the greenery. Golden oak studded hills, lush green vineyards, and beautiful winery's.
A solid time was had by all. Pictures to follow

Probably had a connecting door inside.

I can't think of what town that would be though. Highway 30 is the direct route between those two towns and there's not shit in between them.

However if you went the circuitous route that could be Franklin, Madisonville, etc.

Go to Lake Travis. Great lake to party on...if you're into a quieter scene, then go to Canyon Lake between Austin and San Antonio.

It wasn't so much a town as a 4 corners with a few houses, gas stations a church and these two stores. It was on Highway 30 about halfway between College Station and Huntsville.

I loved the time I spent in Texas. But there are a lot of Hank Hills running around that state. Witness the time I made the mistake of telling a Texan that I was disappointed in how small the Alamo is. His immediate response was "Well I guess you don't like Texas very much?"

Huh?

After looking at Google maps, I'm guessing that's the place. In fact, it HAS to be the place.

BTW: You ever get out to a place called Woody's Icehouse? It's on Greenridge Drive just off Westheimer. They made both of my trips to Houston much more bearable. Nothin special, just a nice open air bar with a nice mix of drunks.

You obviously never spent any time in Beaumont. After I spent 4 days and 3 nights there last week, I could not put it in my rearview mirror quick enough. Shittiest roads I've ever driven on, and it's not like they have any bad winters there that tear the roads up like we do up north.

And what's up with them flying both the Stars and Stripes and their State flag on identical height poles?

I've been to many a State in this here USofA, and I've never seen it where the State flag wasn't flown a few feet lower than Old Glory.

I know that the arrogant bastards think that Texas is it's own goddamned country and such, so why'd they ever want to join the Union in the first place?

I spent a night in Orange just down the road. No, it ain't all that. WTF were you doing there anyway? Not enough toxic waste in KC for ya?

Not for nothin, but Beaumont was ground zero for Hurricane Rita. That might go towards explaining why the roads were so crappy.

It was an agreement when Texas joined the Union that they are able to fly their flag the same height as the USofA. It's the only state allowed to do so.

Oh, and Texas still has the right to secede from the USofA too....not that that will ever happen.

Well, I've seen conflicting reports on the flag height thing. I've found some sites that say Texas is the only state allowed (which I have always heard). I found one site that said 4 states are allowed (Texas, Virginia, HAwaii and one other).

Then I found this one which I would put the most stock in simply because of the site it is on:

http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/faqs/q23.htm
US Flag Frequently Asked Questions
Is Texas's the only state flag allowed to fly at the same height as the US flag?
No, this is an urban legend. All state flags may fly at the same height as the U.S. flag. The U.S. flag must be on its right (the viewer's left), however. Texas's laws are consistent with those of the other states. See Texas flag code.
