the entire album is available to listen to at their website flaminglips.com.
Echoing previous posts, this one just doesn't kill like Soft Bulletin, but who could replicate such an album? I'm coming around to the album, but it will most likely won't stay in the rotation long.

Just about any tone-deaf person with a MIDI.

Where do you get this odd impression that I'm a "if it's not classic rock, it's not good" guy?
I'm possibly the most nonjudgemental person when it comes to genres.
I don't dislike FL because of the genre, or any other externalities -- I dislike the Flaming Lips because they are quite possibly the worst band that anyone has ever had the nerve to try and pass off as "music."

I'll have you know -- I don't own a Rick Derringer album.
So there.
I might have a copy of Edgar Winter's They Only Come Out At Night, though.

NO! The PBS station we get had Monty Python on instead. Their schedule often conflicts with the one on my PVR so this has happened more than once.

I'll be picking this up today. I heard it's a little more guitar-oriented, straightforward rock.
P.S. The show with Ween at Red Rocks is already sold out. Got my tix in the mail yesterday. :D

Flaming Lips are weird, but in a good way. Kinda like Ween. :P

Sweet Jesus, this album is putting me asleep. On some songs, it sounds like they're trying to replicate the feel of Dark Side of the Moon with distorted keyboards. Why in the hell can't they try to replicate the feel of "Transmissions From the Satellite Heart"? Now there was a Flaming Lips album.
