Bet Steinbrenner is happy right about now. :meds:

Rack Mexico.

Looks like I'll be rooting for the Dominicans this weekend.

Nice to see our top MLB players giving the NBA stars a run for their money in the not giving a shit department. Is this crap over yet?

It's not that they didn't give a crap it's that they got their asses handed to them. The world has caught up in the baseball department like the U.S. has caught up in the soccer department. Mexico was eliminated by the U.S. during the last world cup at our national past time and Mexico just repayed the favor tonight!

VIVA MEXICO!

Maybe next time the U.S. fixes the brackets they will be smarter and put themselves with South Africa, Italy, and the Netherlands if they think they are going to get an easy bracket! The best player on the squad was the fatpire who made all those horrible calls!

Mexico is eliminated too...it'll be the battle of the Far East and Latin America in the finals. I'm thinking we'll see a Korea-Dominican final.

Don't give me that crap. They got their asses handed to them by a bunch of A ball guys when they played Canada and they split 2 games agaainst Mexico, which only has a total of 30 players in their whole COUNTRY signed to MLB teams. The world didn't "catch up" so much as the US players couldn't be bothered.

Not every MLB player is white/black. Clemens gave a shit and lost the game.

As a team they wasted their talents and simply didn't give a fuck. Their performance against decidedly inferior competition tells me that. I'm sure some of the guys cared. But that's not enough.

Judging by Vernon Well's performance I would say he didn't care.......

I would say that the WBC mirrored the basketball competition at the last Summer Olympics. The prima donna NBA players either couldn't be bothered to either participate or give a full effort if they did show up.

America's professional athletes are an embarrassment to their country.

I'm sure their minds were more on the MLB season but you can't say the same thing for the Latin teams...those cats have been playing very hard this whole tournament. Was Buck Martinez the best choice they could have as a manager for Team USA? There's a reason why he's not managing in the bigs right now...
