The Official NSD Thread

Post by indyfrisco »

Post updates as you hear them as well as comments.

For me and you Nole fans, it will be a long day with Callahan Bright delaying his announcement until tonight. Most sources say that he is going Nole, but our backup DT Ismail Abdunafi backed off his STRONG commit to A&M to go to Illinois. I'm hoping a little birdie told him Bright was looking to maroon.

Should be an exciting day.

I see Clay kicked OU in the nuts. His desire to play right away swayed him from OU to Clemson. I guess A&M will see what he's got as we play Clemson at the beginning of the season.

Walker Ashley is headed to USC. His dad was a PSU D-lineman. I remember once when I was a kid we drove him to his apartment from the airport, nice guy.

After the Clay commit, someone called him and he said he was still an OU commit.

Anyway, ND got Quinn, waiting on Roche, Lorig, and Wilson.

Derek Pegus to Miss St.

Not that we didn't expect this, but Perrilloux gives Mack the finger and signs with LSU.

Hill has officially committed, as has Grothe, so the 2 QB's we wanted we now have.

Hoping for a surprise later. Francois would be a nice addition.

About Ryan P, any truth to the rumor that Les Miles has hired his HS coach as an assistant QB coach at LSU, convincing him to choose LSU over t.u.?

Haven't heard that one. Perrilloux may be the first player I hope gets hurt. He is an asshole. Yes he is 18 and it may be extreem to call an 18 year old an asshole, but if the shoe fits....

In other news, Jerome Hayes to PSU.

Killian, Hayes as a replacement for Quinn makes sense for PSU. Quinn is probably a better TE prospect than LB.

I was thinking Quinn may be moved to TE. Especially if he played WR. If ND can get Lorig, they can have him and Hiben move to DE.

Knowledge Timmons has sent his LOI to PSU.

http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=157&p=8&c=1&nid=1184276

KT was a PSU verbal, but of late Spurrier had been coming strong. The kid is raw as a FB prospect, but he's got great speed. I'm rather surprised that he ended up a Lion...

oh by the way...this has become something of a holiday for PSU fans. Bowl games are well out of the question, so...we're reduced to cheering on LOI day.

Could be worse, I guess...

OU already has 23 of its LOI's in hand and its not even noon yet. Reggie Smith is amongst those signed and delivered, beat out Nebraska and USC for his services.

Ryan Reynolds (#1 LB from Bishop Gorman Las Vegas, Nevada) and Curtis Lofton (Kingfisher, Oklahoma) are signed, sealed, and delivered as well. DeMarcus Granger (#1 DT, Dallas Kimball) who verballed the other night on local television in the Dallas area has yet to send in his LOI to Norman this morning.

Antone SMith to FSU. FSU racking 'em up at the final hour.

Here's to hoping A&M pulls in Bright. The way it's looking, it ain't too BRIGHT for A&M.

I don't think Lorig will be at SC. This is the deepest linebacking haul I've ever seen, and the most talented.

Lorig is supposedly between Stanford and ND. Possibly UCLA. He's being recruited for DE, DT, or TE.

I was hearing we looked at him in the safety position. We have about ten tight ends on the roster already

I could see Stanford. They got Udofia earlier today.

If you can end up in the top five over a long stretch, you are doing damn well. It's nice to be hailed as #1, but if those players don't perform (sup Fred Davis) then it doesn't mean a thing.

Cicero, I hate to break it to you but BB came out and said yesterday that aside from bringing in McHale, there will be no other coaching changes. So it looks like another 8-3 the next few years unless the old man dies or jeff gets hit by a car.
