Well, well, well---look at my Bruins.

They are in the middle of a nice little streak that should see them pass the fast-fading Habs and Leafs very soon. Two weeks ago I thought the playoffs were out of the question and that they should probably tank the season and go for the first pick overall. How things change so quickly. The D is coming around nicely, the boys up front are playing with lots of energy and the goaltending is holding up (Tim Thomas has been awesome filling in for the injured Toivenen and Raycroft).

Rumors have them sending Leetch to the Leafs for Jason Allison. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Leetch is on his way out, Jason's got several good years left in him---assuming he doesn't get concussed a few more times.

They won't go far in the playoffs but if they make it and the Habs and Leafs don't, I will consider the season a mild success.

They're becoming a real cardiac team. These one goal games will make you gray.

So much for firing the coach.

They have a fairly easy next 5 game stretch so it bodes well that they are definitely in the hunt.

Allison for an aging Leetch....would do that trade in a heartbeat.

Also Boston isn't going to be stupid enough to use Allison in a shootout.

Thornton before trade - 33 points
Thornton since trade - 33 points
Sturm, Stuart, and Primeau since trade - 43 points

Throw in Stuart's presence on the back line and Primeau's defense/grit and I think the Bruins are coming out ahead on this trade so far.

But according to Dave Strader and Brian Gayward, Joe is the greatest thing since sliced bread. :meds:

Good solid road victory over the Sens.

Thomas looks like he's getting really hot.

Ray Emery looks like shit.

No small task when you shutout the best offense in the league. I didn't catch of the game but props to the B's. They shutdown Alexander the Gr8 twice last week.

The B's own the Sens. I hope they get first seed and the Bruins 8th---the Sens will go down.

Just kidding, it was a nice win by the B's. Tim Thomas is the best goaltender you've never heard of.
