I've been having this problem for the past month. I click on a link at The Hun, and instead of going to that page, it goes to a Google page with porn links. CWShredder found nothing. Any ideas?

Take a look at the "hosts" file in the WINNT folder(open with Notepad), and see if there's redirects in there to pornsites.

I already checked that. Not all links get redirected, just certain ones like kinghost.com.

It's just a hosting site from what I can tell, but I just got to http://www.kinghost.com just fine.

You done been hijacked. Are you using internet explorer?

Yes.

Try taking a look at

Start>Run>Regedit>

My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search

And the folder under it. Sometimes, that's where they hide that stuff. If there's a line that has the URL of Google or wherever you're being hijacked to, delete it. Don't touch anything else.

I'm far from an expert, but that's a folder that gets a lot of play when it comes time to hijack your shit.

Nothing there that looks out of place.

I clicked on a number of them, but they all just had pictures of your mother with her favorite goat. Stuff I'm sure you've already seen. Hell, you probably took the pictures.

Thank you. The CastleCop site is unbelievable. They’re still helping me sort out a few remaining issues. It sometimes takes a day or two for them to respond, but they thoroughly explain each step you need to take, and hook you up with free stuff to fix things. Color me impressed.

You're welcome Goober. I've learned a lot over there, they've kept me out of trouble and led me to much of the freeware I use for spyware and Viruses. A great site......
