Was that their annoying song on radio? I would've NEVER bought one of their albums if that song was any indication of their sound. But this one sounds different. More "alternative", if you will. Not so cheesy mainstream country. Love it!

Yes I know they will be here next Sunday. Considering I've only listened to this one album and the tickets are $25, I will probably pass on that show. But who knows, maybe I'll wake up feeling frisky that morning and wanna go...

Smoothie Song on This Side is what hooked me in, I love their instrumentals.

They are all excellent musicians first and foremost. I used to spend lots of summers in North Carolina, and heard lots of excellent bluegrass music there. These kids are masters of the craft. Check out their self titled first release, if you get a chance.

I prefered the vocals done by Sara over the fellas, but now Sean sounds better with a little maturity. His adolescent pining for love lost got annoying and maybe even embarassing, Doubting Thomas and Helena would have not been done as well on their earlier work...
...just my opinion.

Edit- I knew I had some of their other stuff somewhere. 'When you come back down' use to be a "coming down from a high/drunk" fav or something not even close to that when I ghetto leaned up and over curbs at 4am.

Missed them last night. Really wanted to go, but stuff like that hasn't been in the cards lately. That, and the Roseland blows ass. Can't speak for everyone, but me and mine have to reallyreallyreally want to see a show to brave the Roseland, but it's the biggest club in town, so that's where a lot of bands end up.

I wish all cool shows could be at the Trampoline (that's uberhip nickname for the Crystal...you "hipsters" will hear the name in the next few years, I'm sure, since just about every one of your indiefag bands moves here(sup Spoon and Death Cab are the most recent) and starts hanging out at the Trampoline).

Likes me some Nickel Creek, though.
