Apparently they lived up to it tonight. Combined for 45 points and 41 rebounds in less than 25 minutes for each. Sure, it was against a lower-division school, but those are Playstation numbers.

Now, I recognize that this is women's ball and nobody gives a shit, but I'd kind of like to see these two play.

Oh, yeah. And they're Bubba Paris' (formerly of the 49ers) daughters. You can definitely see where they got the size.
I know it was just Okla Christian but those girls are a NAIA power. This will sound so gay but I logged onto the OZone to watch the girls last night  . I just wanted to see if the hype was for real. I think many of the polls will change drastically for the Sooners over the next few weeks. I turned the game off at the point it was 79-23.

From what I hear from people at the game, the Paris' were more impressive than the numbers tell. Courtney had like 21 and 19 in 19 minutes of total play. Grabbed the first 5 rebounds of the game.

Craziness.
BtH if your a hoops person you need the OZone! If it is a home game ( and many away games) and it isn't on TV it will be on the zone with the Sooner Flagship station doing the call.

I was able to watch all but about 4 of our games last season with the Zone and Television.

It's also good for baseball and softball and even wrestling and Vollyball now. I couldn't live without it.

The problem is that with time zone differences, most OU games are on while I'm still at work.
I forget about that. I think the fact that I am a spoiled ass bastard who works mostly from my own home has something to do with it . I wake up and my office is about 7 feet from my bedroom door.

11 points, 5 rebounds, and two fouls picked up.

What's with the lack of interest at SF.com? :(

Okies-
Do the girls still play 3-on-3 in some places in OK? I think they still do in Iowa....

do you mean that halfcourt game? if so,

i don't think so in Oklahoma for at least 15 years (maybe some of the really small classifications still do it but i'm talking out my ass). having sat in the bleachers for dozens and dozens of away jr. high and high school games waiting to play the boys game in the late 80's--we all took the same bus so the boys had a couple hours to kill in the bleachers fucking off--unless the school had a practice gym. there were some kind of interesting strategic things about 6-6 like setting picks at the half court line for a fast break type layup...but it wasn't really basketball. you had scorers and bruisers.

you can only see how that would negatively impact recruiting in the women's game.

BtH you are correct sir. 1995 was the last year for 6 on 6 girls basketball and I went to a school that was in the smallest class.

I have twin sisters that graduated in 96 one had always played D and the other O, kind of crazy when it went 5 on 5.

Higgins just hit a shot from about 5 feet behind where the men's NBA three point line is.
