[zy]the live at Missouri University album that came out was my freshman year in college. I was sitting in the back of the tent selling Big Star t-shirts watching the show. I had learned about Big Star when my future roommate was putting together the show.[/zy] Beaut. Big fan. Show also had Palace Brothers, Big Wheel and some others bands that I liked but can't remember now.

The college station I worked for fronted a lot of money for recording equipment for ZOO records and they never paid us back. Nearly shut the station down.

now we're back at the top: gives me reason to say if like Star go and get Chris Bell's solo set of demos "I am the Cosmos". the production is weird and it's overmixed but after about 20 listens it really gets good and rewards you over and over like any great record. it's pretty soulful and some dirty rock thrown in sort of like #1 Record, obviously. lot of interesting stuff going on in those songs.

Great record.
