So what does the future hold for PSU?

Lawsuits and appeals directed to the NCAA, apparently. Lots and lots of lawsuits and appeals.

Now we have former Penn St players banding together to appeal the NCAA's sanctions...

http://espn.go.com/college-football/sto ... -sanctions

Numerous appeals...but none official from the organization that was sanctioned, PSU.

Big 'Ol Mess.

Huge mess. This will just muddy the waters and extend the timeframe to get past this.

Has the Paterno family sued to restore JoePa's vacated wins? That would be amusing.

Got to say that there isn't much that is funny about child rape or the cover up. That's just me though.

That's quite true. The reactions from some of the Penn State faithful, however, are certainly laughable.

What other motivation do they have with their appeal, I'd like to know?

I suppose I could be wrong about this, but I don't see how the Paterno family even has standing to appeal the NCAA ruling.

JoePa maybe, if he were still alive. But his family? I don't think so.

I could also be wrong - but I think the only appeal that would merit consideration would be from Penn State - i.e. from the Administration. They aren't going to appeal, after making it crystal clear that their cooperation prevented a 4 year death penalty.

Let's face it - the best PSU fans can hope for would be a reduction in sanctions after a while because of stellar compliance...and even that is probably a pipe dream. Best for us PSU fans to gracefully accept sanctions, even if we disagree with some things.

Also, please consider the position President Erickson is in. All of these yayhoos that are calling for his ass in a sling are fucking idiots - and they are only making PSU's position worse. In my view, he is a temp brought in on the verge of retirement to steer PSU through this abysmal mess. He knew very well that he'd be walking away from this in tatters no matter what. I fully support him and his efforts - I truly think he has done a fine job in an unprecedented, extremely difficult situation. NO PSU president would be able to do better, as much as people want to thump their chests and "fight back".

As I see it, PSU is a few weeks towards the end of sanctions. Every day gets us closer. I'm in it for the long haul - we've been through rough years for the football team before, at least this time there is a reason other than Paterno's failure to let go.

I think by the end of this, people will see what we're really made of.

It appears that the outlaw BoT member has decided not to move forward with his suit.

That is just as well because the BoT will now be busy responding to a warning sent by Middle States which handles accreditation for colleges and universities in that area. PSU will have to respond and show they have resolved the oversight issues and face further follow up. However, this is not expected to result in PSU loosing accreditation.

Actually, it is the Administration that must respond, not the BoT. I think they will have no trouble or difficulty responding, as you say.

No shocker here, Dottie is as f*cked in the head as Jerry is. Using your chance to ask for leniency to attack the victims one more time.

I bet she owns her own washer and dryer, just like you. And you're both fucked in the head. Coincidence? I think not.
