If KAL wins against a ranked team, it sews up consecutive MNC #24 for them.

OSU has 9 penalties to Cal's 3...just throwing that out there when mfool inevitably blames the refs for losing.

OSU's offense is a dumbed down version of Michigan's. Fuck around for long stretches and hope your athletic QB does something dynamic. Except Miller is no Robinson. The defense is also not nearly as good as advertised.

Typical Tedford and Maynard.

Bigs goes for 160 yards on 4 carries and Tedford doesn't play him in the 1st half and takes him out for the last drive of the game... and tries to kick a field goal on 4 and 1 with OSU on their heels with our shitty ass kicker who left 9 points on the field. The phantom penalty on the called back TD took 7 points off the board (oh, to be a Cal fan).

Maynard being Maynard... threw the ball 10 yards over the head of Allen for a pick as Cal is driving to tie the game.

I'd like to say OSU was the better team... but reality won't let me.

Congrats to the Buckeyes on the win.

Fuck Tedford.

Oh, and our kicker sucks.

If things go well... Cal will be the 10th or 11th best team in the PAC 12 with an outside chance of capturing the MNC this year (albeit, slim).

It really begs the question... how bad or overrated is the Big 10 this year ?

Pretty bad, but if that makes MSU's road to the Rose Bowl easier, I won't complain. Probly wind up losing to Purdue in the B1GCCG on a roughing the kicker penalty though.

Kal looked pretty deece, really.

This board is more fun if Kal's playing their usual .500 ball, but with the bottomfeeders like Wazzu looking better, it might be tough.

Have I ever thanked you for taking Tedford off our hands?

Don't make me put you on ignore.

How bad is Tedford ?

Well, he has a running back that had 160 yards rushing on 4 carries and keeps him out of the game on the last two drives of the game... WTF ???

Oh yeah, he's inside the 20 yard line (Red Zone) and Cal's pushing OSU all over the field and on 4th and 1 he wastes a timeout so he can decide to try and kick a field goal with 4 minutes go in the game and the closest our kicker came to making a field goal during the game was 30 yards to the left.

Unreal

Kal is smooth-sailing to yet another MNC at 1-2. Luring career backup LB Khiari Fortt has made all the difference.

Bigelow's run was the longest from scrimmage in the history of Ohio Stadium (The Shoe)

He's probably the fastest player in College Football... being that he ran a 10.62 in the 100 meters as a 14 year old freshman in high school (still a California record) but decided to stop running track and concentrate on football.

The 81 yard run... possibly the best run of the year in College Football so far.

The 59 yard run just a little bit later...

... and dude is not small

Well, they've never seen anyone do that in the history of their stadium and the fear that they may lose their 59 game winning streak against OOC opponents at home.

but they failed to consider that Cal has Teford as the coach... and Tedford wouldn't play the guy the rest of the game.

That's why Tedford's a genius.

Oh yeah, he'll be down in LA in a few days to play your toejams... but don't worry, Tedford will find a way to not play him against $C.

Tedford's just that good.

How can Ohio St have a 59-game OOC winning streak at home when USC beat them there in '09 with Matt Barkley starting as a true freshman?

That's what I was thinking... but I just went along with what the Ohio State homer announcers were saying during the game on ABC.

Maybe they were trying to block out that game(denial), PAC 12 football and stuff.

You're really good at making excuses before the fact.

Practice makes perfect, as they say. And you have plenty of opportunity to practice.

Couple of nice runs by Bigalow, BTW. But then, shitty tackling has a way of resulting in nice runs.

When are your guys going to figure out how to beat a real college team?
Based on your upcoming schedule I don't see that happening before...maybe next season.

Cal is 7-3 over the last 10 years against the furd.

Oh yeah, they're also 3-3 against Oregon over the last 6 years.

How has the furd done over the last 6 years against Oregon ?

See, now that's just appalling.

True story...

I originally typed, 'These Cal guys sound super smart.' The problem is, my yahoo feed is really wonky these days. It goes into these frustrating lulls where it eats letters and even entire words, so it came out, 'These Cal sounds super smart.'

I was like... :?

It completely ditched 'guys' except for the 's,' which it inexplicably tacked on to the end of 'sound.'

So, I typed it again. 'These Cal guys sound super smart.' I hit 'submit.'

Up pops a repeating word typo. Keeerist.

yeah, not only that but they lost to Texas in 05. 59 OOC games is like 15 years of OOC.

Yeah, OK

Anyways,

How do you think southern CAL's o-line is gonna hold up against the best defense in the PAC 12... two years running ?

M2, did you happen to miss Cal's first three games? They gave up thirty-one at home to Nevada, thirty-one at home to Southern Utah, and thirty-five to Ohio State.

If that's the best defense in the Pac 12, fuck, the entire conference may as well quit football.

Otherwise, how do I think USC's O-line will hold up against them? If Khaled Holmes is back for that game and reasonably up to par, I suspect they'll do okay. Not great, but certainly well enough to allow Barkley to throw for a few scores on the way to what will likely be a meh USC victory.

I haven't been able yet to find anything regarding Holmes' availability for the Cal game, so I can't really say. All I know is it's rather difficult to replace the country's best center, a senior All-American who calls all the line signals, with a freshman who played guard during high school. Clearly Cyrus Hobbi was overwhelmed in his first start at center. If that's the case again next week, it'll be another long night for the offense.
