Partially? It was the only reason.

Has there ever been an issue that didn't involve flying or landing aircraft that Lefty hasn't been dead wrong about? Rice wants its degree back.

Did you even read the article? Not a single quote from a league source about why Canada. Not even a single quote from someone attached to a team. Hell, there is t a single quote regarding the decision anywhere in the article.

But keep kicking your own ass and I will continue to point it out.

OMG, a columnist wrote....a column....describing the NHL's deliberations on where to put its bubbles.

But because he didn't cite a single NHL source....it's all bullshit.

Exactly. But you a jizzmopper probably don’t even see the issue here. Dude writes an article and doesn’t even get a single quote to support his theory.

This would have been on the op-ed page when we had real journalists and journalism.

Poor Covid 19 truther. Can't have everything his way, so he throws temper tantrums over it.

The NHL publicly rebuking your ignorant Covid 19 truthing here is the real issue. Too bad you backed a circus freak until his last day.

Q.  My question is about the hub cities. What's going on in the process now of narrowing those 10 cities down to two or three?

GARY BETTMAN:  We believe that all of those cities as a general matter could be able to host us, the facilities, both the venues and the surrounding facilities we need. We don't need to make a decision today. We'll probably need to make one in three to four weeks, and at that point we would be able to better evaluate how COVID‑19 is in a particular place. That could be a positive or it could be a negative. We need to make sure that there's enough testing available and we'll be needing lots and lots of testing, but we don't want it to interfere with the medical needs of the community. That has to come first.

We want to just be in a position to, in real time, have lots of options once we understand what the state of play is at the time we need to make the decision.

We could pick one or two locations, but that might, if we made the decision today, not turn out to be as good a decision as one that we make three, four weeks from now because things are continuing to evolve in all of the places that we play.

Good question.

The peril and upheaval in the country now should have been a wake-up call that sports are way out of whack.

Sports have for many decades taken a place of importance and prestige in U.S. culture that is totally unwarranted.

The fact that you've got these leagues, in such times as these, still trying to do their thang shows that many people still don't get it.

Diddly games are STUPID right now.

I couldn't care less about the leagues now, and if they are going to continue to try to have their carry on, I hope it turns out very badly for them.

Sports used to be a unifying influence. A way of bringing the entire community together. Professional sports just stepped on the third rail of politics. They're stone dead, but don't it yet. They're doing the dead chicken dance in front of empty stadiums and their TV ratings are cratering.

Professional sports as we have previously known will never come back.

Sen. Kamala Harris was born on October 20, 1964 in Oakland, California to two immigrant parents: mom Shyamala Gopalan, and dad Donald Harris.

A prominent cancer researcher before passing away in 2009, Gopalan was born in India and came to the United States to get her PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.

Donald Harris was born in Jamaica but immigrated to the United States for a graduate degree, eventually becoming a Professor of Economics at Stanford University.

Packers president says more then 80% of season ticket holders opted out

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- More than 80% of Green Bay Packers season-ticket holders opted out this year, according to team president Mark Murphy.

He told the team's official website, Packers.com, in an interview posted on Saturday that those survey results factored into his decision to hold at least the first two games of the season without fans at Lambeau Field.

"The fact that that high a percentage of our fans were not comfortable coming to games was a factor that weighed into my thinking," Murphy said in an interview posted Saturday on Packers.com.

Lambeau Field is annually sold out on a season-ticket basis, and there are more than 100,000 people on the season-ticket waiting list...

This would seem to be a pretty big problem.

What does this mean?
Murphy said he believes the NFL season can succeed even though they're not operating in a bubble like the NBA.

"Daily (COVID-19) testing gives us something compared to a bubble," Murphy said.
What bubble?

I think he is talking about the "bubble" environment the NBA has used.

It’s weird watching the Tour De France with so few fans. Some mountains have no people at all where there would be 1000’s. It’s just empty roads and near silence and where there are fans there is very little interference as in past years. I am getting used to it and might actually miss it if next year is back to the way it was.
