I wasn't asking for a proof for God's existence. I was asking for some proof that the bible accurately depicts the historical record.

The important issue is whether Jesus rose from the dead and is indeed the Christ.

The Ark, the 6 days creation, the fall of Adam and Eve ... or whatever else, is not required believing for salvation.
Lots of Christians take such things as allegory.

We have two independent authors from that time who verify that Jesus is the Christ - identifying much of the very same information, and without contradiction.

If that won't cut it for you, so be it.
