If you look at the word raqiya` (firmament), and how it is used Biblically, you can see that it speaks of something tangible.
See Ezekiel 1:22, 23, 25, 26, and Ezekiel 10:1, for example.

I suspect that the firmament (if there is one) has substance to it.

I could say more, but yeah, I certainly do not believe that the firmament is air.

Think what you will, but you don't have much credibility.

Your proof video of a rocket going from land to space was -----> a video where a rocket did not go from land to space.
lol

You also claim to have seen a rocket go from land to space with your own eyes.
It is almost unbelievable to me that someone who actually post such a thing.
And then you doubled down on it with this...

88 wrote:And I did see a rocket go into space from Cape Canaveral. According to your own words, space begins 62 miles above the Earth's surface, and the rocket was 40 miles up in the video at 2:25 after launch. During the launch I personally witnessed, you could see the rocket's engine for about six minutes after lift-off. If it wasn't in space by then, where the fuck was it? Genius.
You're not a genius, are you?

1. If your testimony is accurate (very questionable, imo), who knows where it went? Curved off gradually (engines still visible) and ended up plopping down in the ocean. It didn't go to space because if rockets went to space we would have seen such an event 30+ years ago.

2. Why should anyone believe you, anyway? You didn't time it. You certainly have no video of your own to show. You were likely lit out of your mind and probably honestly can't remember much more than that you were waving your red, white, and blue flag around the whole time. Get a grip, study up on the stupidity of NASA's bullshit, and learn something.

This statement lives next door to the old saw about a tree falling in the woods and nobody is there to hear it, did it make a sound? Videography is now the bar by which something is determined to be true or false? My goodness, how did we ever prove anything before silent movies?

Complete and utter horseshit. There are astronauts up there right now you pinhead. Get a telescope and jam your eyeball into it and see for yourself. You already admitted the ISS is up there and now you retract? Hypocrite and liar, those titles suit you well.

2. The could not assemble the thing up there in space so that it is air-tight and able to function. In space suits, on cords, with bulky gloves on, they got everything sealed up just perfectly? Do you know anything about construction?
They do assembly work in space all the time, it's called a spacewalk. There are plenty of videos showing just that, but of course you claim they are all fake, but you can't prove they are fake to save your life. Not that it's worth saving. :meds:
I have this thing called a brain.
Which you seem incapable of using for rationale thought. Carry on you sad sack sheep.

3. Dude, they need a machine shop. There are a multitude of things that quite easily would be needing PRECISE repair -- or people DIE, which they obviously would.

Not only do they not have a machine shop, they never even need to bring the entire craft down to the ground for maintenance.
lol

The entire thing is far beyond ridiculous.
They don't need to bring it down troll. They do all repairs and maintenance in space. Again, tools, supplies, food, etc are all available and replaceable with the next shuttle launch.

It's only ridiculous to you because your water logged "brain" is so full of shit.

Pull your head out of your ass, wipe away the fecal matter and see the real world.

I would say you can't possibly be this stupid...yet you are.

If you look through a telescope, you'll see visible proof of everything that has been said about space, planets, satellites and the stars.

Those twinkly lights in the night sky aren't Christmas lights behind a black velvet blanket. But since you believe everything is fake, I'm sure that is exactly what you believe. It goes right along with you Biblical fallacies.

Why do you think they have never filmed a rocket going from earth to space?
Point taken; you did not claim that Earth is a disk. I concede I made an assumption that was wrong. However, as the equation A = B and B = C, therefore A = C, if you don’t know what shape Earth is, but you can see that all the other celestial bodies are disk shaped, it stands to reason that the earth resembles those other bodies which we can observe. From that you can derive that the shape of Earth is, at the very least when seen from afar, a disk, presuming that everything is two dimensional in... the firmament... and God was consistent when He created stuff.

However, I recall years ago that scientists shot a laser at the moon to measure both its distance and its shape. As nearly everyone else would expect, those scientists discovered that it was half spherical, in the sense that they could not measure the dark side. Would you make the claim that our moon is shaped like an ice cream scoop cut in half? Mind you, there have been a multitude of surprises for astronomers upon every discovery, but as of yet they have not found any objects with that shape yet.

As to your question about videoing a rocket shot from Earth to space, that has been done many times, both from the perspective of the observer here on the ground and from the rocket itself— as has been posted earlier by Jay. This is no secret or hidden recording— measurements taken during acceleration were and are highly necessary for improving performance and reducing failures, something desirable considering how expensive space work is.
