I actually laughed when I saw that. When I was riding motorcycles in Cal, rule #1 is never let a car pass you. Stay ahead of all traffic and they can't cut you off, drift into your lane, or brake suddenly in front of you. Figures some grumpy old guy on a Harley would try to kick a car's quarter panel instead of driving aggressively to stay in control of the situation. 2 wheels vs 4 wheels = 4 wheels nearly always wins.

I have never dropped any sort of flack in the path of a trailing "cager" and seriously doubt I ever will, but if I did, it would be richly deserved. The only time I ever wanted to was many years ago. I was on the interstate, on the way to work. Some asshat in a jeep cherokee was right on my rear tire. I was in the passing lane, with a car in front of me and a car to my right. I could not have gotten over if I wanted to, so I motioned with my hand to back off. He just got closer. Eventually, I had the opportunity to move over and did. This POS pulled along side me and waved with just one finger. If I had a pocket full of golf balls/ball bearings/hand grenades/etc, he might have gotten something.

Why is it people become douches when you encase them in sheet metal and glass? Don't they know that the interwebs is the sordid clambake to be an asshole to someone you don't know?

BTW, carrying a bat or better yet, getting a CC permit are both very good ideas. An armed society is a polite society. There would be far less of this kind of aggressive douchebaggery going around if it was known that the response might involve a firearm.
