I love my state, but...

Post by Dinsdale »

Damn.

Don't know if anyone has been following this much outside of Oregon, but our newly reelected governor is in quite the pickle.

The old fart has a smokin' hot fiancée, 20 years his junior, who calls herself the "First Lady of Oregon." The problem is, she's taken a pile of dough from outside interests to promote their agenda in the state (mostly "green initiatives," naturally). And the governor has pretty much pushed them all, and on top of that, gave people who lined her pockets as a "private consultant" some fat state jobs, even though they had just moved here.

Of course, trying to appear on the up-and-up, the First Whore turned her tax returns over to the local fishwrap... with a couple hundred thou of income not reported on them (smart move)

This has truly become a theater-of-the-absurd... and such great entertainment. Seems like something new comes out about every hour. The latest being that he requested that all of his emails be deleted from the state server as soon as he found out he was under criminal investigation.

Even the Dems in this True Blue state are calling for his head.

It's actually so vast and bizarre that I can't do the story justice here. Here's a link with a rundown, for anyone interested. If not, it will be all over every news outlet in the country soon enough... possibly tomorrow, since I don't the he makes it through today.

He is still resisting. He was going to resign, and then the First Bitch probably told him , no way we can fight this. Up until he realized that when the AG investigates, even his Demorat lap dog AG, his ass is going to jail type investigation. He will bail soon. I hope he does, since several business people I associate with said he would never resign.

Since I have balls the size of baseballs, I wagered with 3 of them that he would resign in less than 30 days, because the AG is up his ass. They maintained he would never resign. The wagers was steaks and drinks at a local high brow spot, and it looks like I will have 2 of those coming.

This brings the point of who will succeed this moron until the general election ion Nov 2016. Immediate will be the Sec State Kate Brown, a haggardly thing, Demorat and avowed bi sexual. She is rolling with a male husband right now.

When the opr Demorats in Oregon call for their boys resignation, you know the shit is coming down. The Senate President Peter Courtney, a real piece of work himself, was almost in tears yesterday. The Demorats decades long hold on Oregon politics is in danger, and they are heading for the shower rod fast, and trying to separate themselves fromt he retread Governor.

The media has not had a story like this to cover in years, and the frenzy is unreal.

Image

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Brown_(politician)

We will see how much attention the national media gives this since he does have a (D) behind his name, and criminal, unethical behavior is pretty much the accepted norm for them, so it may be a non issue with them.

Another great part of it, is the reporter and paper that got the ball rolling. Nigel Jaquiss, reporter for the Willamette Week, is the only street-rag reporter to ever (as "in history") win a Pulitzer, for his work uncovering a decades-old scandal about how former governor Neil Goldschmidt (also served on Carter's cabinet) was banging underage girls, and giving big fat jobs to anyone who threatened to expose him. Better yet, the guy who owns Willamette Week is married to the Attorney General who is leading the criminal investigation (she's a devout Democrat, as well).

And rumor has it, that it's all part of another huge conspiracy involving Medicare fraud, and all sorts of sordid shit.

This is gonna be GREAT! Might even break the death-grip of one-party rule here.

There are actually a few sane GOPers in our state, and could win a heartbeat... the key word being "sane," and they don't want anything to do with the job, so the ORP runs out wingnuts.

Those conversations are being held. An associate of mine has been pushed to run, but he basically told everybody to fuck off. At 58 years old, he is conservative, a fairly well to do local business man, who works when he wants to, hunt, fishs and flys his plane when he wants to, and lost his desire to serve the public a few years back.

Din's take is spot on where the R's stand in Oregon today. This interim bisexual governor we have would probably landslide the election with Portland and Eugene in a heart beat anyway.

WHOA!

The feds just came and served subpoenas for all records from 17 people, across 11 different state agencies.

This is going to be awesome.

About time someone does something about the flagrant grift in this state.

Didn't she engage in her own form of personal amnesty for some Guatemalan dude by marrying him for a couple of months so he could get US citizenship? Lol, don't let Obama know that scheme or else Democrats everywhere will get in on it to pad their votes.

Oh, and what have we here?

It's coming out that the guy running the shell nonprofits that the bribes were channeled through were run by none other than...

LTS' hero, Tom Steyer, the coal trader who now wants to save us from global warming.

Hopefully, the feds can get him, too.

Better and better by the hour.

If you can tell me how we can get rid of the POTUS (staying at the Fairmont) from my roadways this week and weekend... I'm all ears.

The problem with going door-to-door is that they infest many towns and cities north of the border. Then what you do since border security is your top priority?

I see illegals all over the place AND they get gubmint cheese handouts on top of that. Fake ID cards are rampant. So how do you determine who are here legally?

Hospitals, especially in rural communities go out of business because they can't turn away anybody by law to shit out offspring. The illegals know that and have the game wired.

Well they are humans so most people that are not mentally ill like yourself would not want them dead. Again what is YOUR problem? Second the retrofitting laws closed many hospitals but you didn't mention that now did you. In addition for profit companies closed more hospitals than non profits did. If they can't compete they should close. Lastly do you have links for your 1/3 closing number and your 30b wasted per year number?

loop·hole
ˈlo͞opˌ(h)ōl/
noun
1.
an ambiguity or inadequacy in the law or a set of rules.

FTFY

Illegal aliens are not citizens and they are not resident aliens. They remain citizens of their nation of origin. Their children should not be considered citizens for the same reason that children born to foreign diplomats in the US are not US citizens.

Nope. We've been here longer than that. My great-grandfather emigrated in 1913 during the Mexican Revolution. He was a plumber by trade but had to take whatever work he could find. Eventually, they settled in Vallejo and he and my grandfather worked in the shipyard there.

That side of my family was only in Mexico about 50 years and then split up during the Revolution. Some went north to the US others went south to Chile.
