The hitching post is in a class by itself and you can hit the one in Buellton if Casmalia is too far away.
We went to another steak house down the road because Jockos was booked. I forgot the name of it, but it was dang good.

I think I need to go to Giussepies just because I love the name.

Residents of Barnstable on Cape Cod, for instance, had drifts of up to 3 feet and whiteout conditions, said police Sgt. Mark Cabral. It's not just Massachusetts, with nearly 16 inches reported in Portland, Maine; over 21 inches in Hudson, New Hampshire; and 28.5 inches in Orient on New York's Long Island.
Not much in the way of hype there.
Its the wind that makes it a motherfucker. Even cities in CNY and WNY would shut down when faced with that much snow coupled with wind. We sure the fuck did back in 93.

AJ Spurs is great, I usually stay at The Oxford next door and walk over.
Jocko's is still pretty damn good but agree it used to be better.

Far Western, like Jockos, has gone downhill. Still good but no longer great. The Artichoke App at HP is awesome!

I'll have to admit we do enjoy our visits to CenCal. A few places we've been that I would return to:

Sow's Ear in Cambria.
Great American Fish Company in Morro Bay.
Lunch at Daou and at Vina Robles in Paso.
We stayed at Adelaide Inn last time because it was cheap, but turned out to be a great deal. And Margie's next door has a great breakfast.
In Monterey (actually Pacific Grove), Vivolo's Chowder House and Il Vecchio.
Didn't really know where to go to dinner in Paso so we went to Cool Hand Luke. It was OK but nothing special.

Next time we go up there (and we will) I may have to hit you up for ideas because, frankly, I'm lost.

Sow's Ear is a good choice if you have already been to Robins. GAFCo is a staple of MB but try windows on the water (where Scott Peterson met Lacey) or Harada's if you like Sushi.

Cool Hand Luke's is not great, but there are many good Paso resturants. Hit me up I'll help you out.

Drive over to Cayucos and get the fried shrimp dinner at The Sea Shanty, it's
excellent. Save room for dessert because it's simply amazing.

That was my goto birthday spot for years. The beans are so good they sell them in the local supermarkets if you want to take some home next time you are up this way.

I was watching the weather channel this morning about 5:45 am before heading off to work.

Al Roker in the studio with Mike Siedel reporting in the midst of waist high drifts. You know the drill, make it look as bad as possible. The camera guy was probably 30 ft away so you could not see him very clearly in the 'whiteout' conditions. But you could see the wind was blowing like a mofo.

Right before they broke away a big gust knocked his ass over. Al was like "wow, are you ok?" Mike gets up, face full of snow, sputtering "I just lost my balance there, I'm fine".

What he really meant was "what the fuck am I doing out here in the middle of a fucking blizzard?"

Been to the Hitching Post in Casmalia and Buellton many times. To me, the steaks I've had at the Casmalia location remain the best I've ever had (not that the ones from the Buellton location aren't bad). To me, part of the experience of dining at the Casmalia location have to do with the drive there... it's in the middle of fucking nowhere (VAFB, aside).

Reminds me... I need to order more of their seasoning.

OK, Tiny, I'll give you one more chance to follow along. Someone made a comment about part of Cali being the sweet vagina of America. Any place that houses you, AP, schmick, m2 and Sirgulpaload is obviously the ASSHOLE of America. Just that close to the vagina. This sinking in yet, or do you need a flowchart?

There's your problem pindick. AP lives in the hellhole that is LA. shimick live down that way too. m2 also lives 200 miles away but in the opposite direction. Again, you are an idiot. Your stupid joke flopped. Everybody in this thread is talking about how great it is here. It might be close to shit places like LA just like an asshole is close to a sweet vagina, but that only makes you look stupider you pindicked fucktard.

If you pulled your head out of your ignorant asshole every now & then, you'd see that lots of people are laughing. 8-10 inches isn't shit up there. Nothing like your cock-craving media predickted.

JFC - we got 16" HERE in '73. Now that is a problem. The only time you've ever seen 16" is when you had to climb up on a black cock that long.
Boston got more than 2 feet, with more expected tomorrow.
