Jesus. I guess y'alls' dream game of Oregon-KSU or Oregon-ND or Oregon-Alabama crashing destroyed any interest in this great confrontation of two traditional powers...one having been back at the top for several years and one newly arrived.

You got the popgun Oregon offense a couple years ago. You saw how they performed in the big game. Fancy (garish) unis and running backs on meth don't make for a good game. Real solid football will always come out on top.

The game is a month away.

Sam, I know your back is fucked up and all, but you really need to get a life.

Sin,
2009 Sugar Bowl

The more you talk about Oregon, the dumber you sound.

There's a not-so-fine line between "scoreboard" and "stupid"... see if you can find it.

Oregon lost on a freakish play and a FG with 0:00 on the clock, dumbass.

How did Bama do aginst Auburn (who you claim had a shitty defense, and played "popgun" offense) that season?

Brain... THEN keyboard.

i love it when dinsdale makes excuses for losses (and it happens almost every time). at least the refs didn't give it to the other team on the onside kick that the real OU recovered easily?
no?

That wouldn't break my heart at all. Although I suppose we'd then have to find another home for our other sports . . .

some vintage overconfidence from Bama fan in this here thread....maybe so...but this IS a bama team that lost at home. team that lost at home is beatable. i know, great tautology KC...

i return to my OU 2000 comparison. 2nd year coach, leads a rag tag OU team to defeat one loss FSU juggernaut with great D.

Of course you do. Notre Dame has no shot. Hell, Alabam would probably beat an NFL team.

And they blew out OU and you lost a game. But, as is the case with "SEC! SEC! SEC!", a close loss is better than a close win.

It's good to know that only one team is allowed to get better as the year goes on.

Of course ND will be lucky to stay within 2 scores of the mighty, mighty SEC.

You also probably didn't see Johnny Manziel beating you, either. But he did.

I was impressed when Bama beat Georgia. After watching Georgia struggle with a very mediocre Nebraska team, I ain't quite as impressed.

All things equal, I'll take Bama by 40. But I won't be shocked if they only win by 10...it could happen.

ND sure as hell wasn't very impressive against a dispirited, Barkley-less bunch of already-threw-in-the-towel Trojans, nor were they particularly impressive in a decent number of their other games. Still, all they're tasked with is winning the game, not a beauty contest. This, they've managed to accomplish every time.

Bama? They haven't really played too many tough teams. Basically, it was LSU, who were not that particularly great this year. Then there was A&M at home, and they lost. Finally there was Georgia at a semi-neutral site, and they nearly lost that one too. I suppose one could try to make the case that the Michigan win was big, but I don't think too many people would buy it.

Obviously the way to beat Bama is through the air, preferably with the spread. Simply lining up and trying to pound them into submission usually won't be worth the effort. So, can ND open the field and give their QB time to throw? If so, yeah, they can and probably will pull this one off. If this one turns into a primitive slugfest, I dunno. In that case, probably only the Luck of the Irish would prevent a Bama victory.

My pick was Bama 27, ND 13. Eh...may as well stick with it.

So, you'd have the same # of posts in here if you were Burgess Meredith on the steps...

I'm going to save the "act like you've been here before" speech since I haven't...but still.....

I suppose we should all be grateful that they're going to play the game and not just annoint Bammy the MNC...maybe they should turn it into a PPV since we are not really "worthy" of watching such perfection football as the sec...at least not for free.....

Regardless of the outcome of this game, I'd still like Organ's chances against the winner.

P.S.
