Kugel

Post by trev »

Has anyone ever made kugel? It's a noodle casserole that is supposed to be sweet. I'm looking for a good recipe for one. I'd prefer less on the sweet side though. I've never made it, but have been wanting to.

Actually, that'd be Passover.

To spice up a Seder kugel, try adding a bunch of pork sausage.

Yeah, I said Hanukkah because it's around the corner.

I actually attended a Seder once, though I don't think it was quite a proper one.

Seems like most of my friends in the dorm at UCSD were Jews, and some of them decided to put together their own Seder once in one of the dorm rooms, and invited me along. Can't remember exactly what went on the Seder plate but there were hard boiled eggs, some kind of fruit (dates maybe?), some kind of meat, cigars and sinsemilla. Also some matzo and a bunch of Manischewitz. Afterwards we went out en masse to see The Exorcist, which was going through its first theater run at the time. People who went there to get grossed out and scared got really pissed at a row of stoned, obnoxious college kids laughing their asses off.

How did that work out for him?

Pontius Pilate said "he's innocent of the charges," but the Chosen People said "So what? Kill the bastard anyway!!!!"

So basically, trev, you're kind of rooting for the wrong team by celebrating Passover for Christmas.

Now doing Kegels for Christmas... that would make both the Baby Jesus and Marty happy. Stick to that, and leave the kosher stuff to the professionals.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go score some revenge for Jesus by nailing a Jew on his birthday (true story).

Please keep your double entendres and tawdry sexual innuendoes out of the cooking forum. This is a place for wholesome discussion of healthy eating alternatives and culinary artistry. Kindly confine your smut to more appropriate venues. Like BTPCF, or the Igloo Spin Zone.

Kegels are taboo, but Missjo gets to shove stuff up her snapper?

Seems inconsistant.
