Mike Milbury how it felt to trade away Zdeno Chara and Roberto Luongo when he was a GM.

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

Luongo was supposed to be very good coming out of juniors but Chara early on was gangly and awkward as a 3rd round pick. He was more of a novelty because of his size and he didn't get his crap together really until he went to Ottawa. In '00-01 (his last year on the island), he had 9 points and a -27 in 82 games...at age 23. He goes to Ottawa in the trade and has 23 points and a +30 and his numbers only got better from that point on. Either leaving the island was what he needed or he was a late bloomer. He played parts of 4 season in New York and showed very little promise. Luongo had a rotten year in New York but didn't have great numbers in Florida either...granted, the team stunk and they ever went to the playoffs when he was there.

Woh, woh, woh... Luongo faced an assload of shots during his time in FLA. His save % hasn't improved dramatically since leaving the Sunshine State for Vancouver. Of course, his GAA has dropped, because he sees much less shots. In FLA he set records (which still stand, btw) for most shots faced and most saves during a season. His 2003-04 season was his best ever. He was sick. Yes, I think it was even better than this year.

Wasn't Spezza also part of the Yashin trade?

Yup, that's the guy they got with the pick they acquired.
