stupor bowl in game.

Post by smackaholic »

Not looking good for the 'aints so far. If they can't stop the colts from running, peyton will slaughter them.

Oh, and commercials so far are pretty fukking poor. Little black kid bitch slapping dude was mildly funny, but, not much else.

John Bonham, but he's dead too.

Not a bad performance, considering. And that was a fairly epic stage and light show they managed to set-up in 4 minutes.

Props to NOLA - big turnaround. As for the Who - yes, that was Zack Starkey - and what do you want? They were as good as might be expected.

Apparently, I have only one friend. See if you can guess his name....

He's a man of wealth and taste
He's been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

He was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate

He stuck around St. Petersburg
When he saw it was a time for a change
Killed the Czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

He rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the Blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

Hope you guess his name, oh yeah

I watched the game at the Somethin' Else Cafe in the French Quarter, right across from Jsc's courthouse on Conti. Went to Bourbon St afterward for awhile - the most crowded I've ever seen it. This city is goin' apeshit.

Went to see Anders Osborne at Le Bon Temps Roule in uptown NOLA last night. Dude might be my new favorite musician - what a phenomenal songwriter & guitarist. Swedish cat, 2-time Grammy winner who's lived in NOLA since '85, been outta rehab for a year or so, and is an absolute beast onstage. I was standing about 2 ft in front of him in a club that holds maybe 150 people, probably not that many. Timothy Hutton & Kate Hudson were standing nearby enjoying the show.

WHO DAT!!!

I'd rather see a washed-up Who than Justin Timberfag prancing around the stage for 20 minutes. Anyday, and twice on Super Bowl Sunday.

What a great win for the city of New orleans. If ever a city deserved a Super Bowl victory, with all the hardships they've endured, its New Orleans.

They deserve to win again next year.
