Happy to have him back in the Great Northwest. Hes gonna bring leadership, FINALLY, to the Mariners. By all accounts from what Ive read, hes talked about how guys used to set him straight when he was young, taught him how to play the game right. Bringing that to the Mariners is what we need.

They'll be improved from last year (which wouldn't take much) but the playoffs is a reach. Junior isn't the Junior of old but I like seeing him back in Seattle for old time's sake.

Made it to a game last Sat. night against the Rangers. Before the game they had some meaningless ceremony to honor some people about the 10th anniversery of Safeco Field. Griffey trots out to take pictures with the group...big smile on his face greeting people..takes the pics then proceeds to hug some of the women in the group pic, shake hands, smile for more pics...just a class act. Truely looked happy to be doing his part.
In the game K. Millwood was mowing through the Mariners order and then Junior comes up, gets in the box, looks ready to go then when Millwod gets set, Junior steps out of the box...just to throw Millwood off...veteren move. Millwood got him out eventually after Junior fouled off a few but he made him work for it. Nice.
