As much as I hate the NBA, this series has gotten me back to watching. The hate I had for Boston during the 80's was immense and this series is missing that hate, however the officiating has been downright pathetic. The first two fouls on Kobe were bullshit, and the free throw difference is a little odd. It will be interesting to see how things change on Tuesday with the calls going LA's way but why can't the refs just call the game even?

Not only were those first two fouls by Bryant bullshit, being in foul trouble also prevented Kobe from sticking Pierce in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. A lot of touch fouls being called early in the game in my opinion.

That being said, the Lakers didn't help by playing like shit defensively in the 3rd quarter.

Oh, and i guess Pierce's threshold for pain is very, very, very small. Dude looked like he was never gonna walk again in Game 1, and then hits 7 threes since. I thought he was from Inglewood. Living in Boston must have softened him up.
