DAMMIT!!!
Why do we lose to shit teams each year to start the season? Losses to Houston, San Diego and now UTA.

Re: DAMMIT!!!
UT Arlington is pretty damn good, imho, no need to call them a small shit team. Same would apply to Texas-San Antonio. Some of those small squades in texass are pretty decent teams. we were set to have a series with UTA this season but it got cancelled and only one is going to be made up later in the season in Norman.IndyFrisco wrote:Why do we lose to shit teams each year to start the season? Your being to hard on the ags.
It could be much worse. You could be getting shutout or blowing 4 run leads in the 8th against truly shit teams like Nevada in the 8th inning because you have no damn bullpen.

Sorry, with the baseball talent in Texas, we should be in the top 10 every year, making it to at least the super regional every year and the World Series at least every other year. Anything less than that in my book is a disappointment, which we have been.
Here's our record with Mark Johnson. He's done great, but I see this no better than what Slocum did in football. He can't get over the hump.

How much do you pay attention to college baseball RTS?
Good teams lose. Dallas Baptist is a good team as well normally. I was shocked when they blew the game to Penn State last night, no offense intended towards PSU but Dallas Baptist should have dropped them. Texas Pan American isn't bad either nor Tech.
All those have enough talent and are more than capable of winning their fair share of games over what would be normarly considered "better" programs.
Texass colleges are loaded with players. Thats why 2 to 4 of them almost always make the CWS. Smaller schools are competitive in the regionals as . All of the teams I just mentioned that way and there are a few others you can toss in as well, such as Texas State and Texass- San Antonio.

So lets take a running countRoger_the_Shrubber wrote:Dallas Baptist is a good team as well normally.
Says me when FSU just dropped 3 in a row to Hawaii.
But Dallas Baptist?
And Tex Pan American? Good team?
Please.
And guess how many Fla. players are on Texas teams vs Texas players on Florida teams?
Texas - 0
Rice - 0
Dallas Baptist - 0
Texas Pan AM - 0
Texas Tech - 0
Texas A&M - 0
Baylor - 0
TCU - 0
Houston - 0
If there are any more you would like me to look in to I'll keep a running tab on Florida players playing college ball in Texas but right now it stands at zero.
FSU - 0
Florida - 1
Miami - 0
USF - 0
UCF - 1
2 Players from Texas so far on Florida teams. Care to rephrase that just yet?
