I took a course in Political Geography in college for the fun of it. The first class, the Prof has us get out a sheet of paper and write down the names of the 15 Soviet Socialist Republics. He chastised us because he said our counterparts at the U of Moscow had to write down (then) 48 US states !
That class is where I learned why then the USSR had two SSR's (Ukraine and White Russia) at the time. The Russians wanted all 15 SSR's to have seats and we countered that we should have 48. The number 2 was the "compromise". We never put two US states in the UN basically because of our Consitution.

Mmmmm let's see. Should I keep blocking unwanted traffic from 72.36.157.26:80 and 72.36.157.14:80? Or should I show off geography skills I already know I have?

I'll get back to y'all

Word. East Timor is on the Western Coast of Africa? Then shouldn't South Africa be up near Morocco or something? Nice logic.

I knew that the Capital of Djibouti was Djibouti, but I was unable to locate it on a map.

It all depends on how well you know your geography. Some basic test taking skills never hurt. Why should it be so odd that US Americans know East Timor borders Indonesia? Or that Djibouti is on the Horn of Africa?

Missed that WW quote the first time around, Todd. Thanks for bringing it up.

I made it to level 10 on my first try as well. Thing is, MagellanWagon, that thing didn't even get remotely challeging for anyone educated outside of Missori until Level 8.

I've played it several times since and haven't been able to crack Level 11. :brad: All those small countries in Africa totally pwn me, even when I know the general area many are located in.

BTW, Vasco DeGama Wagon... If you know the country but don't know the city, drop the flag right in the middle so you at least get SOME points. Tell me you knew...
