What is the most you ever lost gambling???

Post by 4 king guy »

John Daly says he has lost between $50 million and $60 million during 12 years of heavy gambling, and that it has become a problem that could "flat-out ruin me" if he doesn't bring it under control

I've lost a couple of Hundred at Foxwoods a couple of times and I wasn't too happy (but it was money I had put aside for entertainment!!)

I could not imagine losing more than $500.

If I lost a Grand... I would have to be on suicide watch...

Greater than that.... AMF!!

$50 million and $60 million

      :? :?

MrsO and I would go to the horse track
with $50--and bet it all in small amounts on
the races--actually a cheap afternoon of
entertainment when you think about it.

At any casino--maybe dropped $200, although MrsO
would sit at the nickle slots and actually make money !

Looking forward to a trip to Vegas in November to
attend my nephew's wedding-- want to hit the sport's book !

Lost a grand one night at Foxwoods playing Blackjack. Learned my lesson and I only play poker now. Much easier to beat 9 other people as opposed to the house......

Neely brah, what's crackin?? Long time no talk ya chowd.

Anyways, you shouldn't be losing at blackjack. With a large enough bankroll and my betting system, it's nearly impossible to lose (you have to be a complete idiot who doesn't know the game to lose with this system). Hit me up and I'll share it with you. Oh, along with the large bankroll, you'll need several hours and lots of patience, but at the end of the night, you'll be ahead.

Losing money gambling is why I don't bet on sports anymore. The anxiety of whether my play was gonna hit or not made sporting events completely unenjoyable. I love sports too much to be in that position, so I don't bet anymore. Most I ever lost would have to be around a couple hundy in a casino over a weekend.

A guy I work with was a casino host for Bally's, Caesars, The Rio, and Mandalay over the last 15 years. He got out of the industry because he was fed up with dealing with asshole rich fucks who thought they were thousands of times more important than they really are. That, and shitty job security.

Anyway, one of his boss's clients was none other than John Daly. One of my buddy's jobs was to sit right next to JD when he was in town and keep him company as he made $100 pulls at the high limit slots, and watched as he made colossal bets at the blackjack tables. Said JD is seriously the coolest motherfucker he has ever met, and treats everybody very well. Anyway, JD sat in a seat and drank beer after beer and smoked pack after pack for 8 fucking hours making $100 pulls.

In that weekend he saw JD lose ...ahem... "well over a mill" and dude didn't even flinch!

(Dude has also had some decent wins, too.)

Regardless, rack that fuck outta that drunk bastard!

You can't win big unless you are willing to lose big.

These whales will never be "up" for long. They're in it for the thrill ride. Winning feels so good...they only know that because they've lost bundles.

I've won over a grand, but never lost more than 200. It takes discipline.

Roofer,

Me would like to hear your "never lose" system for black jack. I play it every time I go to the casino. Apparently, I'm the "middle of the road guy" because every time I go, I'm eeither up or down $100 at the end of the night. Usually play the $10 tables and betting around $10-$30/hand.

I lost $200 in ten minutes at the Craps table at the Monte Carlo.

Bigget win, $750 for taking 5th in a 500 person online poker tourney at bodog.

I dropped 200 at Turning Stone one night and thought I was going to have a fucking seizure. What Daley lost after the WGC last year alone would have made my 401k.

But hey, all you Clinton haters are gonna love this rip.
And there are times when Daly knows his priorities.

He wrote about winning the British Open at St. Andrews and facing a dilemma. Wilson and Reebok, his corporate sponsors, were on the phone with agent Bud Martin, desperate for Daly to get out to the Swilcan Bridge for a promotional picture. The sun was setting, so there was no time to spare.

But hold on -- the president was on the phone and wanted to talk to Daly.

"My first thought was ... the president of the United States wants to talk to me," Daly wrote. "But then Bud pointed out that Wilson and Reebok were putting $4 million a year in my pocket, and all Clinton was doing was taking 40 percent away."

He went to the bridge.

I lost probably $300 in a night when I was 16 playing In Between. That summer, I lost all $4000 I made working at the golf course to gambling, mostly with In Between.

I couldn't count the number of times I had split Aces and drew a fucking ace after calling pot on a $100 pot.
