If I was selling, my Frank Miller Daredevils would be worth some cash (all of them from the second he drew through issue 200) not to mention the Neal Adams X-Men from the sixties.

Same here, or used to have (dang brothers).

I managed to hang on to Captain America #100-270, all of 'em. Roughly from '68-79. ('NUFF said!)

I have some other Hulk and misc. comics from the '70s, but my bro has all the valuable stuff (X-Men 98-300, or something), plus the original Secret Wars, and a ton of other stuff.

if you collect comic books past the age of 13, you rank somewhere between trekkies and jtr on the ass scoring scale.

I bet you've got a killer comic book collection.

collected Hellblazer and x-men type stuff from like 6th to 8th grade. Didn't get any hot-boot-knockin' from the girls during that time.

And if you’re presumably male and religiously watch American Idol, I’m sure you rank really high on the ass scoring scale. The hairy-ass-with-a-marble-bag scoring scale, that is.

I never liked collecting them as much as I liked reading them - consuming them, I guess. I never liked owning something I couldn't touch without fear of ruining.

Some comics I enjoyed:

Dark Knight
The Watchmen ('sup, alliance)
Blood
Traveller
Flaming Carrot
Akira

I always liked Frank Miller, Vaugn Bode, Richard Corben, and Bob Burden

Because I'm Dins and know everything about everything, my dad gave me his MAD magazine collection from 1956 or 1957. I forget when the first one came out but I have a series from back then. They've been boxed up for years. The artists and contributers were off the hook with some amazing whack shit back in the day.

I'll never sell them as no amt of $$$ can replace those talented people that published those early years of that magazine.

That and the fact that you just can't find good Show of Shows or Red Skelton satire these days.
