NU wins DQ Classic

Post by Cornhusker »

Nebraska beat Minnesota yesterday 4-1 in the Dairy Queen Classic (whatever that is) to finish a 3-0 sweep in Minneapolis.

Friday NU beat Notre Dame 11-1 and Saturday Arizona went down 3-1.

Nebraska has shown more offense than what was expected early in the season. Especially with the long ball. Luke Gossett has 5 HR's in 38 plate appearances prior to yesterday's game. Team batting average at .341.
Joba Chamberlin has been awesome with a 1.29 ERA and Watson has been solid at 2.33 ERA.

NU is 8-2 with Alabama coming to Lincoln for the season home opener Friday.

Joba is just unbelievable. I read some of the quotes from the NCState team you faced a while back and they made him sound like Jesus on the Mound.
