Rack my girlfriend

Post by Killian »

The little lady has turned into quite the Irish fan this year (she says she has a crush on Quinn. I told her that was fine, I have a man crush on Weis). But instead of being the typical girl who doesn't know shit about the game and only likes it because I do, she actually learned the game and knows what's going on.

This was the first time she really paid attention to ND. Before that, she just knew them as the team that really pissed me off when I watched them. But she was excited for the bowl game this year and decided to buy a few T-shirts to wear. One of which is one that says "Shark Attack" on the front, with a big 83 and an outline of Samardzija making a catch on the back. The other is one that says "I (picture of Shamrock instead of heart) BQ" and a 10 in the shamrock. She was clearly excited.

She couldn't watch the game with me last night and had to stay home. Here are some of the text messages I got, while over at my buddies house.

"Nice play Zibby" (After blowing the coverage and allowing one of the long TD's)
"Is this a fucking joke?" (Half time)
"How'd he land her?" (Hawk/Quinn relationship)
"Good job Mo" (long 3rd down reception)
"Shark Attack? I should send it to him and ask for my $15 back" (Smardzija drops a sure first down)
"Did Samardzija and Fasano fuck all night? Obviously they left Shelton out! Thank god" (After Fasano and Samardzija dropped consecutive passes, and Shelton makes a clutch 3rd down grab)
"Did Samardzija just realize he was supposed to catch the ball?" (Makes a nice catch)
"Zibby's hot" (Apparently, another crush)
"It'd be awesome if they could throw for more than 10 yards." (Harrington-esq check down on 3rd and long)
"I can't take this"(Not sure when this was, but it was after ND's last TD, before OSU iced it)
"That was awful. Wide open and then let him get the first down"(Smith to Gonzales on the last drive, 3rd and long completion)
"A joke"(after Pittman iced it)

Rack teaching being able to watch the game with your significant other, and them knowing what the hell is going on.

Sorry.... rack my wife rather than your girlfriend:

She stayed the hell out of my hair from 11am 'til 12:30 last night so I could enjoy CFB all friggin' day.

Rack having a wife taking care of the kids all day. I'd much rather have a TV/den all to myself and not have to worry about inane comments/questions from a woman, much less text messaging back and forth all evening.

Sorry, gotta call 'em like I see 'em.

I understand what you are saying, but just the fact that she realizes what is going on when she literally didn't know the rules the year before is awesome. I text message with a bunch of people during the game, so it was no bother to me.

My wife will tolerate football on the television. She actually likes to watch the Steelers. Since she attended FSU for a time, tonight will be fun for us. I've been running my "Bowden is Poultry" smack on her, no discernable effect so far...

Nah. It's the girl. She's a sports fan in general (loves Boxing and knows her shit) and I knew she would like football if she gave it a chance. Having a good team to root for also helps.

I got you all beat, er make that Mrs. Nolesy has your ladies covered.

Our FSU tickets are on row 6 and we are so close to the field that you can literally smell the grass. Problem is Mrs. Nolesy knows a shit call when she sees one. She will call the refs everything but a human being when they give FSU a hose job. I recall one game last year where she even had the line judge looking over his shoulder a couple of times to make sure she was'nt coming on the field after him.
Mrs. Nolesy will NOT sit down or shut up the whole game no matter what the score is. I guess she could teach USC band geek a thing or two.

I don't know if I could date a girl who's into sports. #1 it's a turnoff for me and #2 I can do everything and anything else with her, but game time is my time. However, she did watch some of the NCAA tourney last season, but mainly because she entered her work pool. We had a fun time making fun of Kevin Pittsnoggle during WVU's run. He sure is a goofy looking bastard...but a hell of a player.

Plus, I'm a little bitter still because she has yet to fulfill my fantasy which is to receive a blowjob on the sofa, while watching the game and holding a beer in one hand and a ham sammich in the other.

Rack my wife. She is a football fan period, and even more of a basketball junkie (spurs :meds: ). She was up at 9am yesterday shaking the shit out of me saying we were going to miss college game day if I didn't get my ass down stairs.

Against Oregon she was as bad as me. The first half you would have thought I had married a drunken sailor.

During the Allbarn game she got pissed off and said she couldn't watch this horse shit Teletubby was putting on the field and calling it Auburn football, so I turn back to the Bama/Tech game. I thought she was going lunge at me with a knife. I heard more four letter words in a fifteen second time span than I think I ever had before and I'm from a militrary family.

Last night she was more into the Ohio State/Notre Dame game than I was. She agreed almost verbatim the comments by Killians wife concerning Hawk nailing Quinn's sister. I pulled for Ohio State just to get in her craw and kept calling the Domers, Spud Sucking Catholics which she didn't appreciate much being of Irish descent and countered with some good ole fashioned Wagon burner and WOP jokes while reminding me that the Scots and Picts were descendant from the Irish spud suckers as I so fondly called them.

Even picked up some of my infamous nerf balls and began lobbing them at the Television as I tend to do (better than replacing yet another coffee table :? ) when Georgia began their comeback against West Virginia.

If I'm around a loud mouthed sports chick, I'm instantly unattracted. I don't choose it that way, it's just the chemical feelings doing their work. Ya, I like the dainty, girly types. I don't want to go to bed with a chick that reminds me of Bill Cowher. That's just me, I guess.

Hell my wife gets into it but since she works in the sports industry she gets kind of burned out on it, however when ND and Penn State are on we both watch and root with tenacity. Gotta love a wife that watches football, not to mention taking me to the ND-UT game last year for my 40th. A good girl is one who understands out passion.

Knew a chick that would bring a beer, unzip the pants, unsheath the schlong and wrap her massive (did I mention "massive?") boobies around it, and get to bouncing. Only allowed to check it out during timeouts, something about "if you look down here while the game is in progress again, I'll stop."

Not a bad way to check out a game. That was then, this is now, though.

I heard that. I'm saving myself for Cowher...no substitutes will do. Pornstaches do that for me.

My GF really has no interest in sports at all. She lets me dress her up in CU gear and goes to games with me, but she's not a fan in any sense of the word. She understands some of the more rudimentary rules of football, but that's about it.

The thing that sucks about chicks who are sports "fans" is that a lot of them are posers. They arbitrarily latch on to one or two teams and cheer for them obnoxiously. But when you really start to quiz them, you find out that they really don't know shit about sports in general. (I have a hunch that that Cowgirl Jen skank falls into this category.)

I know there are some chicks who are genuinely knowledgeable about sports (we're fortunate to have one in our midst), but they're few & far between. So I can see why Mgo prefers girly girls. They're a hell of a lot better than poser sports chicks.

My wife literally knows nothing about football, and sadly for me, doesn't seem to have much interest in it. She refers to quarters as "innings" (she actually likes baseball, but just to go to the games, not watch on TV), and doesn't even understand the difference between offense and defense (true story: when she coached her daughter's football cheerleading squad, she used to bring me along because she didn't know which cheers were appropriate in which situations).

Yesterday I had to disrupt the viewing to deal with the kids. Then again, I suppose it would've been just a tad selfish to force her to deal exclusively with a 7-year-old with ADHD, a sick infant, and a know-it-all 17-year-old.

Man my wife and kids sat on the couch with me last night watching the game pulling for the Nittany Lions. It was freaking epic....then the missed FG's started and the kids wanted to go to bed...... It's great having a family that gets into the games because then I don't look so bad sitting and watching all by myself and not being involved in anything else. This type of stuff really brings a family together. Now tonight we're all wearing burnt orange and rooting for Texas.

Ironically, the football fan in my household, besides me, is my 6-month-old daughter. She'll sit in my lap and watch the games with me, when she's feeling well (right now, she has a respiratory virus, so she doesn't feel well). Actually, I think she likes the movement and the colors more than anything else.

My son, at age 7, is starting to get into football, but he's not all the way there yet -- he still prefers cartoons and some of the Disney Channel and Nick shows to football.

T, hope your baby gets well soon. I hate it when one of mine is suffering. I must call you on her being a football fan at age 6 months........your reaching bro. I suspect she is more into hanging on you no matter whats on the tube.

Your boy will get the addiction soon enough. It starts with watching monster trucks on tv then bloosoms to real sports.
