alright this is still pissing me off. i just think its wrong that in this day in age a guy cant go out and steal this program and get the fucker to work.

i say we need to band together people and get this bitch figured out.

Sucks. That site is generally money, although they screwed up on another set of S/Ns this week so maybe its loosing its touch. Might want to go on a P2P network and see if you can creat a S/N generator for Adobe products or Adobe Photoshop CS in particular.

If you do graphics for a living, you should invest in your tools, not steal them.

Otherwise, Photoshop SE and PaintbrushPro are usually good enough for the rest of the world and relatively cheap.

It's an "obsolete" version of PhotoPlusthat doesn't have all the bells and whistles of Photoshop or the newest PhotoPlus, but it gives you a lot of capabilties for free.

JM,I've gone back to the store before when they've given me too much change.

Pshop has been over the $600 range for years.
who in the hell is gonna pay that if they don't even know enough about it to use it?
I've gotten those apps for people years ago before they could afford it free.
well,now that they're successful in careers using that stuff,they can afford to buy it now and do.
but they never would have if it wasn't for a helping hand.
now don't get me wrong,I'm not saying it's legal,moral or even ethical.
however we all have our vices and if jagging the latest copy of Zone Alarm Pro is yours I don't have an issue with it.

I disagree ET.

Guys like you, me, DiT and AP have the knowledge and presence of mind to run a virus scan on anything we find for free. Most users will succumb to greed and download. Next thing they know, they are hosting a warez site on their machine.

Similarly, there are constant requests for specific types of files/programs. While finding "free" versions of the commercial applications, I think we can all agree that, at bare minimum, these are potentially virus riddled.

So, my suggestion is to make a list of the GNU/Freeware versions of all these requests. This will give people a "legit" version of the software they want, and keep this from becoming a "warez" magnet.

verbal, if you use stuff for a living then I'd highly recommend buying it and then registering it. If you get PShop 7 or later, they can nail your ass with phony reg #'s.

If you are using it for business purposes then you really aren't paying for it as it's a tax write off.

i just use photoshop for personal use. and i dont allow it to connect to the internet.

I purchased a cheap ass scanner for $100 and it came with PhotoShop. There's no way in hell I would pay any more for it since I use it for personal use. You might look into something like that...

I hated PhotoShop the first time I used it. NOT user-friendly! Just a few months ago, I created a family picture using clip art and photographs. I would erase the heads off the clip art, and attach a head from a photograph onto it. There are 12 people in the picture and each object had to be placed where I wanted it before I moved on to the next item. It was a major pain in the ass trying to get it put together because once I'd get about 10 or 11 family members on the picture, I'd run out of room and basically have to start all over. I had about 20 versions of the damn thing because I saved it after every addition to keep from starting from scratch.

I didn't have a manual for it and the only way I learned how to use it is by playing around with it.

I prefer Fireworks to Photoshop, myself. The GIMP is pretty cool, but I'll use that when I'm FORCED to, not before...

Why?

Fireworks doesn't do nearly as good for photo editing as photoshop in my less then extensive experiance.
