This place sucks horse cocks.

Now that that is out of the way...


The One Board is by far the most successful "Jim Rome" board in history.
It has been up and running for 18 years now.

That is not to say that things have always been wonderful here.
Most of us dislike, or have disliked, certain individuals, certain events, or certain things that have gone on.

Mistakes have been made, people have been dicks, lines have been crossed -- and due to threatening posts, the FBI still monitors this board.
Do not forget that.

Yet...

the board carries on.

T1B brought the band back together.

If we did not find value in shooting the sh!t with the company on this board, we would not have hung around this long.
Even though the posts of some individuals make your skin crawl, you still find value in engaging here, or else you would not open the board, read, and post.

And many people still lurk, but do not post.


This post is just to celebrate our little corner of the internet.
It is not Facebook, Twatter, Snapchat, Instagram, or even p0rnhub.

It's amazing how much the internet has changed in the 18 years since T1B was created. Even in 2005, bulletin boards like this one, along with AOL style "chat rooms" were considered innovation in how people communicated with each other. Now the world has changed so much, but I believe BBSes are still amazing ways for communities to form, people to have discussions and for people to talk about the news in a sometimes informed fashion. Who would have thought?

Love me some Tune Town. Otherwise, regarding T1B, I'm just too old and lazy to find something else. My T1B attitude does sometimes get me in trouble on NextDoor.

I have hopes for T1B. It's the longest lasting but nowhere near my favorite rome legacy board.

Some shitheads around here seem hell bent on turning this place into Facebook and Twitter. Fuck a bunch of that noise. This is a place for gloves off, big boy chat. If you're going to get sore from mean words, maybe you should detach from Twatterbook and get your ass back into preseason smack camp. Which is an excellent way to keep your smack tight, by the way.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this place. “Met” some good folks. Read some well written hilarious shit.

Though it’s slowed down tremendously, it’s still worth daily check ins. God, remember when you couldn’t even respond to s post before 4 or 5 others had hit submit with their thoughts?

Love what Smackie does. I really enjoyed the hours long conversations during Tune Town, but I only have my phone at home now and that just doesn’t cut it as far as me listening and chatting.

Lotta folks in here I don’t agree with, but there’s no one I dislike. Disagreement is healthy. I don’t expect or want everyone to agree with me. I enjoy others’ opinions.

I assume I’ll hang around ‘til I can’t. Everyone have a great holiday season. Just don’t do it in a fucking dress.
