140K people die a year from an alcohol related incident in the US. How come we’re not talking about that?

25k of the 39k gun deaths were caused by suicide in 2022.

So we can approach each issue independently and go after the tool that is a contributing factor to the death, or we can tackle depression/mental illness/alcoholism at its core.

People need help and we are too f*cking busy with our lives to get them the help they need.

Remove the guns, but don’t address the demon inside them telling them their life is worthless will just lead to other means/ways to kill themselves.

Remove alcohol, but don’t address the depression/reason to drink excessively and they will find something stronger/more dangerous to alter their reality.
