Welp, looks like we're fucked.

Governor said that 56% of the population (25.5 Million people) of California is going to have the Coronavirus within 8 weeks.

With San Francisco being the 2nd most densely populated city in the country just behind New York City... we may be damn near 100% with CV in just a matter of 8 weeks. The outskirts of the state may have better chance of staying away from each other. Looks like I may be the first on this board to get the virus.

Hope the Governor and the analytics engineers here are wrong... but, having the top engineers in the world here... I wouldn't bet on it.

Think I need some good San Francisco energy to fight off this bad juju.

Ideally all Trump voters would contract it first and die fast so our to be socialized health system doesn't give them benefits they fought against so hard.

CAUGHT LYING AGAIN!!
Do you know what a lie of omission is?
My post about left wing socialists getting the virus, was a DIRECT response to screw posting "hopefully trump supporters get the virus first and die off fast".

You asked me to name one lie you told?

By leaving out screw's heinous wish that trump supporters die first? And only attacking my response? You actively lied and deceived the entire board.

You aren't very bright.

Where I am (still Oregon), weed is legal, and the weed stores are petitioning to be deemed an "essential service" if a shelter-in-place order is given (which is unenforceable because the Constitution and stuff). All restaurants are takeout only since Tuesday.

Yeah, they were deemed essential here. Of course, I had to wait in line for an hour cause they were only letting in 3 or 4 people at a time. That was about a week ago. Glad I bought enough for the next few weeks. Don't want to do the line shit again.

Money was involved. The owners knew what they were doing, and pressed to see how far they could go.

That's really dumb.
Leave the cups where they are.
Just spray them down heavily with lysol. No virus known to man can survive lysol.
Then just wipe the extra lysol residue off the balls before you tee off.

We aren’t “locked down.”

Supposed to shelter in place, avoid contact, telecommute if possible. Grocery stores are open. Drug stores. Farmers market. Even the pool supply store was open (I needed some muriatic acid for the pool). Amazon is still delivering. Wineries are open, not for tasting but for on site purchase and thank God and gOD the wine club shipments are still going out.

Been walking every day with my wife in beautiful spring weather. Will be working from home tomorrow. I’ve done about eight hours of yard work over the weekend. We had to cancel a planned April trip to Santa Barbara and an August trip to Italy.

Funny thing is that the stores are completely stocked with awesome local produce. Meat and fish are fine. But you can’t find any paper products or canned food. I don’t usually eat any processed crap anyway.

Glad to hear that life is indeed good.
Now, if you really want to get well, do not cast your vote for Alzheimer's Joe.
Trump is the only logical choice.
And I say this with way more political expertise than you.
The other day, after Joe was done with his 8 minute speech, he stood there with a blank look, not moving.
His wife Jill came out to lead him home for a diaper changing.

If you vote for that, good luck to you and yours.

Canned vegetables aren't "processed crap." Have you not ever canned or preserved your own vegetables? I've still got about five quarts of "processed" tomato sauce from last year's crop. I've also got 3 bottles of "processed" green hot sauce and a single precious bottle of red sauce made from a blend of pickled and fermented African bird's eye chilis. Oh, yes..six quarts of dill pickled cucumbers and one pint of pickled beets. All processed and none of it is crap.

Nothing wrong with canned beans either though dry beans are cheaper and take less space.

But you can’t find any paper products or canned food. I don’t usually eat any processed crap anyway.

You’re absolutely right, actually. But I was mainly referring to the Dinty Moore Stews and most of the canned soups and other stuff that are laden with salt, sugar and /or fat. Those are gone along with the tomatoes and other canned veggies that are fine staples. I’ve never canned or preserved anything except by freezing.

Got a decent stock of canned tomato products and beans, though around here you can get good fresh local produce pretty much year round. Even now.

I actually started experimenting with a lot of different dried beans a few months ago in an effort to cut most red meat from my diet. I have a very good stock of dried canellini, navy, cranberry, garbanzo, adzuki, fava, and several kinds of lentils. It’s pretty amazing what you can do with beans if you have some chicken stock, various fresh veggies and maybe even a ham hock for some extra flavor. Tonight it’s onions, garlic, shallots cooked with a couple of heirloom tomatoes, then puréed with navy beans to a thick creamy broth, and then adding some chopped red chard for the last few minutes.
