Or should I go Sony?
This will be used to take PET pics at the Dutch nude beaches, so SRO.

Why an HD "action cam"?
I have one, but I mainly use it clipped to my bike for trail riding footage.

They're small and can be controlled by remote software.
I ride a bike, too.
The underwater case is cool.

So I bought the Hero3 White and it does a really good job.
What's the best way to share these huge mp4 files over the net?
Skype? YouTube? I prefer privacy.

You might want to transcode your videos into a smaller file size if upload speed is a problem where you're at.
Handbrake or even
Windows Movie Maker will do this.
I use YouTube and Vimeo. You can mark any video upload you do as
private, so only people that you specifically assign can view them.
