I'm looking for a decent (free) alternative to Microsoft Office Applications, namely just Word and Excel. Can anyone hook a broski up?

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I've used Open Office in the past and didn't much care for it.

Goobs, stop trolling the sub forums, dork.

All documents should be only in .TXT form.

What a wonderful world it would be.

Sorry. That's where most of the activity is.

I switched from Open Office to LibreOffice 2 years ago, mainly for LibreOffice Writer, but occasionally to do a little work with Impress.

Honestly, the switch wasn't that big of a deal...but I'd still recommend LibreOffice. It was part of the default office suite of my Linux distribution anyway.

Interesting idea. Did you ever try restoring to the one that shat all over your willie?

"I know Dinsdale does, but so does Goobs"?

Even Kansas City thinks you're lame.

Far be it for me to stand in the way of a budding meme.

I have been uninstalling some things to make some space and have come across Microsoft Office XP Media Content.

Does anyone use it?

Is it necessary? I would like to remove it as it is 600mb.
