You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

Two absolutely dreadful POS chunks of shit software.

Not sure which part of "don't want to bog it down" you didn't catch, but it would be difficult to name two bigger drains on the resources.

Sygate is a darn fine freeware, that requires little resources for the level of protection it offers.

Thanks, asshole. I'll have to check it out. My computer runs just fine with those programs, anyway.

Mine too. Might be time to upgrade the 386, Dins.

Ad-Aware is complete shit. Never had any issues with AVG, although I prefer Macafee over them every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

MD, make sure when you setup your static ip you use opendns as your primary and alternate dns numbers. It's just another layer of security that will block you from visiting sites that suspect malware/adware. However, if you like porn, then open dns isn't for you.

Definitely do not put Norton on your PC. It is a beast.

I'll also put in a vote for MS Security Essentials for now, while its still free.

Your best protection from spyware and viruses is
1. Google Chrome browser or Firefox
2. not letting others on your laptop.
