I'd say the difference between the two is about 250 gigs.


The smaller one has a larger cache, so might be faster to an indistiguishable degree.

Curious - why not use an external drive? Maybe you already have an enclosure?

You double the storage capacity for an extra 20 bucks, but I'd go with an ext one as well. I have a 160 GB external HD, and I have three computers backed up on it plus an extra 20 GB partition for random shit.

Long story short, I have a major file corruption with my HD (see prior thread about a major virus problem, loss of sound, in ability to isntall/uninstall). I already have an external where I store my media files but without sound I can't play games nor sync my Zune etc.. I've tried everything to repair but to no avail.
