Sammy Sosa had 3 seasons with 60+ HRs. In none of those seasons did he lead the National League in HRs. His only HR crown came in 2000 when he hit 50 HRs.

Joe Sewell, the replacement for Ray Chapman (the guy who died after getting beaned in the melon in 1920), had 699 at bats in 1925 and struck out just four times :shock:

For his career he had 7,132 AB with just 114 strikeouts

Johnny Cueto, Steve Carlton, and Johnny Vander Meer are only pitchers in the last 100 years with six straight appearances w/ 8+ innings pitched, 5 hits and 2 runs or fewer.
