I don’t. Life is REALLY, REALLY going to suck if they don’t. I’m already suffering enough without baseball and basketball, but football? Fuuuuuucccckkkk...

I don’t think it’s gonna happen either.

And it’s gonna majorly suck ass!

Yes...with guarded restriction.
This shit will disappear as quickly as it appeared.
Much will be learned with control and prevention by the end of August.
Now will fans be in attendance...? That may be a deal breaker.
I think football will happen, maybe condensed to only a conference schedule, which means the SEC will have a bye the next to last week... :meds:

They will play at the D-1 level for sure. Now the question is will the season start In September or late January?

THAT is the question we should kick around.

Yep. I'm pretty sure that if they do play it will be a delayed and/or shortened season.

Apparently, the contingency plan is to start in October... and play the full season.

I am a doubter at this point. This virus isn't going away completely until effective medications/therapies are identified and proven to work in clinical trials. And that takes time. I think this country is too litigation averse to take any chances. For that reason, I am a doubter.

Talks of no fans. That suits the fuck out of me. I don't watch any fucking sport for the crowd. Might bother the players some, but tough shit.

That just shows what's happened to BTPCFB.

Instead of being able to tailgate and enjoy the pageantry, we'll get a televised gladiator event.

Not in.

Pretty sure I am with Carson, if not so, but going to the road games against out of conference foes win or lose the game is a win.

The Cal State campuses won't reopen in the fall, that doesn't effect P5 conference play but SDSU, San Jose State and Fresno State are all in the WAC and with nobody on those campuses Fall Semester (on line classes only) you can't imagine those three will play.
The UC schools haven't yet ruled on that but that could mean Cal and UCLA may not have students on campus this fall either.
LA county has already said that USC and UCLA can't have anyone on campus til August so that won't give them the 6 weeks of practice before Labor Day Weekend. The Pac 12 coaches have all said that the schools should all get 6 weeks of practice before their first games.
The state of Texas has said that anyone who goes there from California has to be quarantined for 14 days so that rules out USCs season opener in Dallas

Lower levels---D-3 and up are cancelling their 2020 seasons, including my alma mater, the U of Maine. Too bad for me as I was hoping to go up to Orono for the annual Homecoming game.
