Semifinals

Post by RadioFan »

ITL-GER

POR-FRA

I'd love to see a Germany-Portugal Final, but the upset-minded idiot in me sees an Italy-France Final with the German Crowd in Berlin booing/whistling the hell out of the Italians on every possesion.

That being said, I'll be pulling HARD for Germany tomorrow/today, since they've never beaten the Italians in World Cup play.

Frings' absence will make a difference, but not enough.

Germany 2-1.

As for the game on Wednesday ... more to come.

It is going to be tough to beat the Italians. They have given up 1 goal in the tournament. The only team to really test the Azzurri is the US. Jurgen Klinsmann is a great friend of Bruce Arena and I guarantee they have watched a ton of tape. They know how to attack the Italian defense. Germany has improved more than any other team in the World Cup.

Frings will be missed. I see the Germans playing the Italian game for a half and then they take over in the second half.

Germany 2-0.

I think Germany being on home turf will prevail. They will get the benefit of the calls as has been the case in this WC.

Germany 2 Italy 1

Tomorrow, I like France beating Portugal 1-0.

Taunting 80,000 Germans, great idea you slimeball.

What was Germany doing on the first goal? Standing around waiting for the Italians to fire?

Not a big fan of Italy BUT.........

Those are two fantastic goals purchased from quality football by the Italian side......full marks.

ps.....Why is Italy shaped like a boot?

Because you can't fit that much shit in a shoe.

They'll be tough to beat Sunday.

Italy's side are the biggest bunch of diving pussies I have ever seen grace the pitch. My god they flop like fish out of water. And they cheat. Great for football......

Damn...didn't get in this morning. I was picking Italy because of their defense...a 1-0 final. Buffon came to play again but only 2 shots from Germany when they were one of the highest shooting teams in the tournament. What a wild OT...Italy could've got the winning goal on several occasions. It wish OT was sudden death because I don't know how Germany could actually play on after that shot went in. That Del Piero goal was too easy.

As for tomorrow, I think it'll be a battle of two great midfields. Pauleta needs to give Portugal more up front...Simao has probably been their been striker in the knockout rounds. Scolari should start Simao instead of Pauleta. Portugal gets back Deco...that should be huge. Ronaldo, Maniche, Deco, Figo...too many weapons in the midfield. Barthez is bound to have a bad game. Henry, Zidane and Ribery will have to have another huge game for them to move on but I like the Portuguese in the game...2-1.

More than the Argentines?

With those fucks, the flopping doesn't even end at soccer. Just take a look at Manu Ginobili.

Them goals were fucking mint. Italy throughly deserve to be in the final, even though it seems they only win when there's scandal at home.

Pleasepleaseplease let France win tonight. The resurrection of Zidane has been the story of the tournament. A rematch of Euro 2000 would not suck at all.

I don't know, Henry's juke created the penalty which wasn't a dive IMHO. Also, Henry's volley against Brazil was pretty solid and clutch. Lot of players would have frozen, wiffed or put it in the 20th row. I think he and ZZ have been a pretty good 1-2 punch over the last couple of games. Henry might be a bit overrated yes, but he's at least good enought to carry ZZ's jock.

Since when is three years in "quick?"

- especially after they had their ass handed to them battle after battle in those three years, then Mussolini got deposed, Victor Emmanuel III took back over and he and PM Badoglio changed sides with their new government...

I realize you were trying to be funny, but it was incorrect history....
