ESP vs. UKR thread

Spain vs. Ukraine, first round.

Freaking AWESOME matchup.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ukraine wins this game, even though Spain is a traditional power and has started off well, only to fade later.

For some strange reason, I'm jacked about this game.

Edit: This is by far, is the best game, from a first "appearance" perspective, for both teams, at least on paper.

Yeah, yeah, FIFA was saving Brazil for the optimum time slot, as far as appearances go, for yesterday.

Btw, the last "first appearance" game in this tourney is Tunisia vs. Saudi Arabia, for both, after ESP-UKR. Could be a great game, but who the fuck cares?

FIFA did well though, in scheduling that last "appearance" matchup, with two suck-ass teams, before Germany plays its next game on Wednesday ... the last of Wednesday's games and the second of Germany's first-round games. Rack FIFA, for getting something right.

Spain's always fun to watch because they are almost always spectacular . . . be it in victory or catastrophic defeat ;)

Ooh. Beatdown.

The Eastern European teams are not very good this year, if you discount the Czechs.
