Holy shit

Three goals in the first 17 minutes of the opening game?

Are you fucking kidding me?

The start of this tournament does NOT suck.

Germany is owning this game so far but is playing for the offside way to much.

I see a 3-2 final. Germany will switch the defense after a tying 2-2 goal and go on to win

I was watching on ESPN and flipping to Galavision as soon as Lamm scored. GOL! GOL! GOL! Is that not the best call in sport?

Germany's defense is questionable. There were 3 or 4 chances for Costa Rica to get 1 on 1 with Lehman. Nice score by Wanchope. When Germany plays a good team they will get beat.

I hate when players pretend to be hurt and lie there like they are dead. Then bring out the cheap stretcher and player hops right back up.

First game and already two candidates for goal of the tournament. It's gonna be a good month.

Unrack work.

Rack replays on Galavision (though I haven't a clue which channel it is here in Socal).

Rack Ecuador!

would someone please mention to marcello balboa that he needs to pick which style he wants germany to play? all game long he kept talking about how great it was that germany was opening up the attack and moving the ball forward, and that costa rica would have to push a counter attack to beat it. so when costa rica does that... he rips germany for a lack of defense?
what you you want them to play?!?! pick one and stick with it...

Props to Trinidad & Tobago on earning a draw with the Swedes. They were being bombarded with chances...it was one of those games where they didn't play well enough to win but they played well enough not to lose. Sweden played really well themselves but just didn't finish any of the chances near the net. I would call that an entertaining scoreless tie.
