good stuff, especially the rips on scotland, ireland, et al. not really surprised on the harshness toward their own lions however...

There's better about, but that's a decent primer for the WC newbie.

Scotland '78 has to be the biggest laugh ever. They had the open topped-bus out before they went to Argentina. A load of fans even tried to hire a submarine to get there.

Next thing you know, they're getting tonked by Peru, drew 1-1 to Iran, but nearly pulled it out of the bag against Holland in a classic game - the one featured in Trainspotting when Archie Gemmell scored one of the finest goals ever.
