This was the #1 hit song America was groovin' to.

Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red...

A kinder, gentler era.

Very soothing.

And this hot hit was #2 on this date 50 years ago...

Oh, my darling
Knock three times
On the ceiling if you want me

Great entertaining movies too. No gratuitous violence or sex. No profanity as such. No "woke" agenda or political messages. Great stories.

So you only watched Disney movies?
No "woke" agenda or political messages. Great stories.
You mean like Silkwood? Billy Jack? Network? Three Days Of The Condor? The China Syndrome? M*A*S*H?

And the movie you most should have watched, All The President's Men?

I guess you did only watch Disney movies....

I agree with Wolfie's general line of thinking.

Things have become coarse and degraded.
There is an overall lack of creativity and effort.

Movies tend to be better when gratuitous sex and violence are not part of the equation.
When things are instead skillfully left to the viewer's imagination, a better product is had.

Attention spans have become very short and "artists" are prone to go to shock and the lowest common denominator to grab the attention of the masses.
But that tactic lacks depth and it normally becomes a bore.

Speaking of 70s movies, Debbie Does Dallas is on youtube, and it's both refreshingly innocent and profoundly disturbing.

That song belongs on the Dawn of the Dead soundtrack. It's so fitting.

Wolfie and Soft in the head are right. 1971 was a kinder gentler time. Good wholesome films.....

What a bunch of crap. There was plenty of violence and political messages. You just happened to like the message. Now fuck off old man.
You really are an orange POS.
