Booker T & The MG's

From their concert in Norway, 1967. The sound quality is impeccable for a recording from this era:

not a "lip-sync"...the actual concert audio

Pickle: "Wow! I sure do love me some Shaft!"
Marty: "Yeah...a classic Stax Records hit from Isaac Hayes."
Pickle: "Isaac Who?"

Of course no breakdown of Stax artists would be completed without Rufus Thomas.

There's no Stax without Atlantic. Sort of rare.

Used to be the live footage on You-tube ages ago but it got pulled down with vehemence. Still catch in fragments on Russian sites, brilliant show by Curtis

The Stax players sounded all right. But give me the original. Motherfuck him and John Wayne.

Oh, isn't that what Chuck D. Of public enemy said?
He exposed his racism big time with that gem.
Berry's lyrics and guitar are great.
But his delivery and vocals suck big time.
Elvis's studio version SMOKES berry.
And what's fuckin incredible is the fact that elvis takes chuck's own words and dry fucks him.

Imagine how great an artist you are when you fuck someone with their own words?

The soul depth and diversity of the king destroys chuck.
