Re: Nebraska/Texas in game
Nebraska's offense is a complete abortion. They have no chance to win despite a dominant defense. Speaking of which, isn't it amazing how the Big 12 flipped in just one year. Last year, the conference had elite offenses (Oklahoma, Texas, Tech, OSU, Mizzou, Kansas) and very little D while this year i...

Well...now there's this from the OU Rivals site at 8:31 PM CST this evening...perhaps I am the ill-informed dumbfuck... Stoops reiterates commitment to OU Bob Stoops sent out another statement through the university just minutes ago confirming his intentions to remain at Oklahoma. "I stand by t...

Killian, Terry, other Domers...Get In Here
Even though homer boards are notoriously full of ill-informed dumbfucks, I've never seen a situation like this where people on the OU boards (including the staff) are 100% certain that Stoops is staying and the people on the ND boards (including the staff) are 100% certain that Stoops is a Domer. Stoops just gave an interview with the OU Rivals guy, Carey Murdock, where he stated flatly that he's staying at Oklahoma. The quote is below. Murdock was on the local sports radio later and said there was indeed an offer from ND of 8 years and $24 million with unknown incentives. That's a pay-cut b...

Re: Stoops to ND...more rumors from a "paid" to play scout site.
I still think it's very unlikely to happen, but to answer the original question, the top candidates would be (in no particular order): Gary Patterson Brent Venables Kevin Sumlin Mike Stoops Butch Davis Brian Kelly Mike Leach I'm in the minority here, but I'd go with Mike Stoops. I think he's done we...

I normally don't do stupid shit like this but I left a message on the site... If I may, I'd like to totally obliterate your premise from the home page that implies there are seven problems with a playoff that "playoff advocates can't agree on". As if total harmony is the real goal. The per...

Re: Wow OU struggled against Tech
Why does Stoops deserve bad Karma for handing off to his third string running back, off-tackle from near midfield in the 4th quarter? It's not his fault that Mizzou's defense had already called it a night. Oh, by the way, there was like 1/100th of a cunt hair separating OU and Texas in the BCS so ca...

Disagree 100% with your first point. Tech moves the ball on everyone and OU did give up some chunks early. But they were going half-speed in the second half.

Re: Wow OU struggled against Tech
OU lost their starting center in the first half (sixth offensive starter lost for the season) and the offense wasn't able to pick up a first down after that. The defense flat out quit. I don't blame them for being frustrated...OU has an all-world defense and a third-world offense. But quitting is bu...

To your original question, Killian, Oklahoma is very lucky to have Bob Stoops as head coach and the majority of Sooner fans, I think, not only want him to stay but wouldn't trade him for any coach in CFB including Meyer, Carroll, Brown, etc. He has returned Oklahoma to national prominence and done i...

Re: I've Never Seen...
I understand what you're saying...and Nebraska's offense does seem pretty average. All I'm saying is that this is the 1st or 2nd best defensive unit of the Stoops era. Remember, OU made a very good Texas offense look awful as well. Last year's OU offense + this year's OU defense = holy shit-fuck goo...

First, props to Nebraska on a good win. Best of luck to the Huskers the rest of the way. PrimeX...a lot of it depends on how many juniors head to the NFL. I think CU should hire Brent Venables if Hawkins is fired. And, no, I'm not dumbfuck OU homer who thinks Venables is shit and would be glad to see him go. Venables has proven to be a great defensive coach and an elite recruiter. Colorado seems like a very good fit for him.

Sad to see Bradford's career end this way. He's one of my favorite Sooners of all time and the best QB of all time at Oklahoma. As many of you have indicated, he's also a great person. I wish him the best of luck in the NFL.
