Re: Piecing together a sound system.

I'm far from a Sound engineer, in fact my hearing sucks big time. Since I don't have an impressive movie studio setup, I just wanted better sound than the TV puts out without having to run millions of cables through the new house so I got one of those sound bar setups with a separate wireless Sub. I...

Re: DSLR Cameras

I have to say that one of the things I like is the new compact system dSLR type cameras (actually called DSL micros) from Sony, Nikon, Samsung and other consumer companies. In other words, they use compact point and shoot style bodies with lenses that offer more manual options. I've personally have ...

Re: check out these sweet headphones

Nice find. I saw a version of this headphone a while back in a Sony store and it blew my mind as well. I saw this at BB but I think it usually runs for around $100, which is still not a terrible price. It definitely made listening to today's beat heavy music come alive. Not sure it would do the same...

Re: Anyone have a Nook or Kindle?

I'm a big fan of the Kindle e-reader. I like my e-reader, despite having a phone, tablet, laptop, pc, etc..., because it is very convenient to read books on. It's easy to have it with you, it doesn't have the battery issues that all tablets/phones have (ereaders last 30 days or more) and the pearl e...

Can you take one file and copy it to your desktop from the search window and than copy it back? Re: Anyone have a Nook or Kindle?

You got the Nook color? Bad choice for an Ereader. It uses and LCD screen so the power consumption is way higher than on the eperl screens plus its much harder on your eyes. If you paid for the nook color you might as well waited for the new Nook tablet which is fairly comparable to regular tablets....

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals

Ok, anyone get any good deals this weekend? I'm trying not to spend too much money, but we did pick up some games on sale, already have all 3 consoles so couldn't justify picking up another xbox or ps3, even though it would be nice occasionally. Engadget does have most of the popular deals for today...

So what little info you gave, doesn't help much but: When you search for the files, and find them, is it the same path of where you are going directly? If you look at the location where you find them (or where you think they are), are they marked as hidden files. Do you have your folder properties s...

With my limited time to play, that's my plan, just rent most games for a few days when I think I can play it for a few hours each day, than return it. Just not worth paying a ton of money for multiple games than only playing 1 with the limited time I have. RedBox is awesome for this with all the new...

Based on the DroidX, which is now way outdated, I have to say, I like Moto phones. My Droid X is awesome, no real issues, even after updates a...

Yeah, that is a bitch for sure. About the best solution you might find is a bluetooth noise canceling headphone that can be re-charged by usb. Also some of the better noise canceling headphones will continue to work even after the battery dies, just won't do noise canceling. That may be a good compr...

Re: Is There Such A Thing As...

There may be some (not common), probably higher end game earpieces with the mics in them, but honestly, why? You might as well get a Bluetooth one. USB headphones are usually used as Microphones/headsets and usually offer noise canceling Mics, not so much the earpieces. You are better off getting a ...

Just so you know, LED TV's are really LCD TV's with LEDs to do the backlighting instead of CCFLs. Maybe everyone knows this already but it was confusing me for a while before I purchased my TV. Costco still has 32" LED LCD tvs for mid $300s. They tend to be brighter, use less power, the TVs are...

The Thinner PS3s are fully backwards compatible. As are the thinner XBOX 360s. Depending on your laptop, you can easily set it up for Netflix/Hulu.
