Dodging bullets is easier than dodging whatever Michigan was throwing from the free throw line.

Re: Good win for Hawkeyes
D day. Calling my shots: Michigan wins by 10+. Northwestern stuns Sparty at the buzzer. Illinois beats OSU by I don't know how many points but who really cares. Sorry, this trophy is an honorable lady. Will do a three-way but is insulted that you'd even mention an orgy. If OSU stuns the world Iowa w...

Re: Good win for Hawkeyes
When they lost to Penn State, they lost the priviledge to win the conference title (yet, they still might get a share of the title)...they're playing for seeding in the conference tourney right now. To be fair, it would be cool to see them run the table at Crisler... Do you just type words to see w...

Re: Good win for Hawkeyes
I feel like MSU should run away with this game but a big run halfway through the 2nd half will get Michigan back into it. That and some extreme stat (MSU turnovers, UM 3-pt shooting ) will make the game seem more competitive than it actually is. Er, good call on my part, even if it was the opposite...

Re: Good win for Hawkeyes
I certainly hope you're right, but Michigan's been a bit of a paper tiger this year. Their success feels similar to watching Dickrod-era Denard tear up UConn and Indiana then disappear against OSU, so until they actually beat a "tough" team I'll just assume they're going to lose. Is actual...

Re: Good win for Hawkeyes
I hope this is a wakeup call...they've got to avenge that 23-point spanking from Sparty. I don't see how Michigan wins this one unless all of 40 things happen. Basically: - Questionable calls against MSU put Payne and Nix on the bench for most of the game - Stauskus stops being the same headcase Ha...

Losing to 0-14 Penn State. Ouch.
Michigan supposedly doesn't have an elite defender, which is code for no one wants to put in that effort. WTF, isn't there some scrappy white boy on the team dying for PT?

Michigan looked a hell of a lot better with Jordan Morgan back on the court. I'll call them Final Four-caliber, though by Final Four I mean the BTT semis.

Re: Big Ten to no longer schedule FCS opponents
I understand the reasoning for getting these schools off the schedule, but it's going to come at a cost to a lot of smaller universities, which I think is wrong. The MAC and Sun Belt seem pretty positioned to make more money off this. Get rid of half their competition for the paycheck games, they c...

Agreed. Was watching the B1G network this am. They were discussing going to ten conference games and the likelihood of moving some non-con games to later in the slate, citing scheduling conflicts from not being able to play FCS schools. They interviewed osu's AD, he said he and Brandon are committe...

Re: Big Ten to no longer schedule FCS opponents
When some of these teams came to the big house the payday funded the entire athletic dept for the year...it's win/win for the pastry an no-win for he big school. Those schools spend most of that AD money on the very same football team that brought in the big paycheck. Are probably still in the red....

Right, and many of our Founding Fathers had slaves. You can't apply today's standards to history. If no rules are broken, then there is not a problem. If you don't like the rules, then change them. But don't bitch about someone who is following the rules. Oh I get it: slavery was ethical at the tim...

Flipping kids goes both ways and it usually ends up about even in terms of gaining and losing commitments Maybe it goes both ways for the blue blood programs. But when a school like ND or OSU flips the highest rated recruit from, say, Purdue, that's going to be a net loss. True, but I don't see the...

Well, half the team are freshmen and it was their first real road game not at Bradley or Northwestern. All coaches have their strategic flaws and Beilein's seems to be an inability to adjust to uptempo defense at the start of games. Ball pressure shouldn't faze a team who starts four guys who can ha...

Re: Good win for Hawkeyes
UM is getting exposed by a good, physical team on the road. They hadn't really encountered that until today. UM is going to find themselves in a lot of these half court slug fests from here on out and that's just not their game. Shot selection was a bit curious. The solution to not hitting your 3s ...
