Re: Somebody REALLY wants to win the Leaders Division
Recruiting is for keeps. Coaches do what it takes to win that game - I understand that. I fault no one for taking advantage of that part of the sanctions...however, I find that sanction itself to be odious. It is by far the most egregious example of punishing people who were uninvolved. As Mike Maut...

Re: Thank You... State Farm
The only name that concerns me on that list is Pollard...and even then, not all that much. Larry Johnson Sr. is the nation's premier defensive line coach, and an A+ recruiter. We have good DTs right now, and we will be getting more. Redd was our best RB, but Bill Belton and Curtis Dukes are very pro...

Re: Thank You... State Farm
So Fortt - a backup at PSU - is actually "PSU's starting MLB", and Kal is nabbing him...but he has to sit out to bulk up and get good enough to be Kal-quality? Classic mfool dumbfuckery. The truth is, Fortt is a guy who was - even post-sanctions - probably not going to start at all, unless...

No, simpleton, it isn't. Does Google somehow not work for you, or did you just Google "PSU LB" and throw up the first modern looking pics you found? Is this Khairi Fortt crushing an LSU runner as a true freshman ?

Cal will suck ass again despite the addition of a career backup PSU LB.
Redd is a great back. PSU will be ok at RB. The days of the whole offense at PSU living and dying with a feature RB are well behind us.

One of PSU's best players, eh? Not really. Best of luck to Khari, but he wasn't going to be starting this season. I'm sure he'll zoom right to the top of Cal's depth chart, though.

I think USC would get a very talented RB in Redd. I wouldn't blame anyone for leaving this mess. I will definitely hold the kids that stay in the highest esteem, for what that's worth. I did notice at the Big 10 meetings last week, Bielema was the first coach to speak up and say that he would not g...

Re: So what does the future hold for PSU?
Robert Bolden, former QB for Penn State, has transferred to LSU. Mixed feelings about that. I have no idea what LSU sees in Bolden...unless he's just getting a courtesy interview. Sure, playing QB for the Paternos was no party, but wow...he was the worst PSU I've ever seen getting snaps in real gam...

Re: So what does the future hold for PSU?
There's a tremendous amount of venom being sent Rodney Erickson's way - despite the fact that his cooperation (i.e. his signing of the Consent Decree) very probably saved PSU from a 4 year death penalty. The sanctions suck, but scapegoating people solves nothing. Erickson is a dude who postponed his...

I know it doesn't mean squat since all coaches seem to employ that same laser-focus 'coach speak' whenever someone sticks a mic in their grills, but I was seriously impressed with Bill O'Brien after watching his extensive interview with Reece Davis on ESPN just now. Half this board will be dead or collecting SS before PSU is a relevant football program again. hmm, tell that to Ohio U on Sept 1. Ohio was picked to win the MAC, which has bent over Paterno-led squads over the past 15 years. Huh? PSU lost to Toledo in 2000. I'm not aware of any other MAC losses......
