Re: Weekend Roll Call 3-16-24

I have a four burner Weber Genesis (LP) that I’ve been using for prolly five years. It works great but sometimes I feel like it doesn’t get hot enough. Like for some thinly sliced flap meat for carne asada you can’t get a good sear without overcooking it. Last year I picked up a heavy cast iron gril...

I’m gonna have to try this. It’s about that time of year to bust out the smoker. Unfortunately I don’t have a Traeger. The offset smoker just requires a little more attention.

My birthday’s coming up in a couple of months though. I may have to start dropping some clues.

Great show last night. And I love me some Whiskey in the Jar. Never knew there were so many versions out there until I looked it up on Wikipedia.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day everyone. And don’t forget - Bushmills is Protestant whiskey. Put some Jameson in your jar.

Same time as usualm for you though.

We live about 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The spot we stopped at in the desert is a 75 mile drive (about 50 as the crow flies) mostly on winding two lane highways through the mountains, about 3/4 of the way to the Salton Sea. A little over a 1 1/2 hour drive each way. https://i.imgur.com/KMMqu2...
